Player will not read dvds

-   I have Model RC797T that will read some DVD's but with others I see the "Unknown disc ... " message.  I tried entering the 1397139 code but it appears the unit is looking for a 6-digit code.  As I enter the code the first (3) digits are full size text and the next (3) are superscript and by the 7th digit it clears the first (6) and then is back to the initial position.  Am I entering the code incorrectly?

-   I have the same problem...Mine is the RC797CF version (code free). It is now unable to read any dvds. Also get "no disc" and"unknown disc" messages. My unit is also only a couple of months old and no help from LG. Please clarfiy which options I should use to get back to the Code free option. I really appreciate your help. -   backstage

-   my player plays the dvd for a while then it goes all to little squares or when i load it it reads no disk or unknown disk and if i use the hd cable it wont work-   mikemech74
