Question about Baby Lock Esante
When thread cutting button pushed you hear a ping, but it does not cut. I cleaned out all the lint, the cutters themselves work when tried manually but some connection not sparking the automatic action. Thanks for your help.

I had the same problem with my Ellegeo. It came with an extra bobbin case, the black part the comes out of the race that the bobbin sits in, and I used the new one. Worked like a charm and I haven't had a problem since. Good luck!

I have a designer SE, I ran across this site and found it very helpful. This person is a retired machine repair person and has a wealth of knowlege. <http://www.sewmuch4retirement.com/tips.html> from what I understand the blade needs to be cleaned as part of the Maintenance, it also can be replaced.
Take a look at this site, perhaps it will help

Make sure that the blades are being held firmly together. I have seen the knob used to lower the moving blade come loose and releases much of the pressure intended to hold the blades together. If so, the set screws on knob have come loose.
