Sony 60" My picture and sound go to black, several seconds later comes back on slowly then sound, then minutes later goes out again, becoming more and more frequent.

Sounds like your TV is not getting the right voltage. U need to get a power supply filter and then
all should be good. Not promising that it defo will, but everyone iknow who has this problem on a
widerange of makes and models have tryed this method and it has worked.
