I had the 250 eq ( N.G.) for 3 years and have been dealing with bosch advanced tech service for the same amount of time. they sent me a new 2400 es( same thing, new model # ) last week and still having same problems. So i called them back. I'm on a well and come to find out after 3 years of dealing with them and after them sending me a new one, that they do not work well, on well systems,do to the varying water pressure. (no kidding!!!) After dumping tones of cash in to the darn thing they just sent me a mixing tank and mixing valve free of charge! I don't know if it will work do to the fact I have to install it yet. The best I can say is to call the tech dept at the 800 # on the back of your owners manaul and good luck seeing that no one knows how to service them!!!!!! PS You will need a manometer to measure the gas pressure at the valve.

How do I set my thermostat so that it doesn't keep going off and leaving me with no hot water .I have a Honeywell digital thermostat.

The problem is not your thermostat. It is the person who told you that your AC would be your sole source of hot water. The purpose of heat recovery is to ASSIST with hot water production and reduce the current used by your water heater. The only time your AC heats your water is when it is working to cool (or if it's a heat pump, cool and heat) your home. Turn your water heater back on and let your AC help keep the water hot. It's not supposed to do it alone.

I have a customer who would like a Bosch AE-9.5 tankless water heater installed in the master bathroom. The master bath is located at the far end of the house & they are wasting a great deal of water...

In theory it sounds good, but I don't think it would function properly. Most folks install a low boy 20 or 25 gallon water heater near the master bath and use the home's cold water feed as the supply line. That way, the water for the master bath alone, will always remain hot.Of course this would involve some plumbing modifications.

Of course, the other less expensive solution, would be to insulate the hot water pipe(s) feeding the master bath, from the existing water heater. That way, there would be no heat loss in the pipe(s) so the water in the pipe would remain warm to hot all the time.

Either of the above solutions should heat things up for your customer.

Rads get very hot when taking a shower heating not turned on

Hi,
That is because the Flo-check valve(s) in the heating system is bad and allowing the hot water to "gravity" flow through the loops...
Get a HVAC professional to replace the flo-check on your heating system...

We have a Worcester Bosch Highflow 400 (10 year old) combi boiler. Over the last few weeks when we have put on the heating the boiler kicks in and fires up and the heating comes on (the water comes on fine...

The by pass pipe may be limed up. This apparently causes a reduced flow which will stop the heating side of the thing working. Call out Worcester Bosch engineer. It costs £210 including VAT and most parts and they almost guarantee to get it working.

Bosch greenstar 30 CDi - no central heating or hot water!

it sounds like the system was not cleaned properly when the new boiler was fitted. all new boilers need to have the pipework flushed to remove any debris scale sludge and flux from the system. this is now usually done by a power flush which is basically a big pump mounted on a big bucket and it washes the dirt out of the pipework and collects in the bucket. if this is not done the dirt will block up the small passages in the heat exchanger. i suggest the system is cleaned flush and the heat exchanger changed to help protect the boiler a filter should be fitted (for example a magna clean) if the company who installed the boiler is corgi registered then they are liable for the damages. call corgi for advice.

Worcester bosch highflow 400 - the green demand light never works when i select it, there's no hot water or heating. The green demand light does not comes on but there is noise from the boiler . .

Sounds like a control panel.Detatch the block connector that serves the gas valve, see if you have power on the bare pins.both left and right pins should measure mains voltage. If you have no power at the pins its the pcb control board.Replace the board.

NO HOT WATER UNLESS HEATING IS ON

Some Hydronic heating systems have a loop for hot water. If you only have hot water when the heat is working then your normal hot water heater is out of the circuit. Breaker off, or problem with the normal water heater. These can be ether electric or gas.
