Re: sylvia not drawing water

Let's start simple.
Is it plumbed in? Is the water valve to it open?
Some also have internal valves under the drip tray.
Is there a filter or softener between the wall and the machine? Could me clogged, mis-installed or faulty.
Does the pump run?
Good luck!

Is a loud noise normal when drawing off hot water for tea?

not if it never did it before
when you draw off hot water , there is normally fresh water let in to keep the unit full
this cold water hitting the boiling water will produce steam which is allowed to escape hence the noise.

My keurig b70 coffee maker says prime. sounds like the pump works for awhile then stops. prime lights up on the screen and doesnt let me do anything else why

Mine would brew the first cup fine, then the pump would run but would not draw water from the reservoir. I turn it off, turn it back on it would draw water for one cup then would not draw water again. I unplugged it waited 30 seconds and plugged it back in, assuming that would reset the electronics. It worked fine following the PDPU (power down, power up) procedure. Simply turning it off will NOT reset the processor, you MUST unplug the unit. Remember to wait 30 seconds or so prior to plugging the unit back in.

Drain water from keurig B40 out of both sides for storage. we tried to lift water lever in clear tank to indicate it was full, but did not work.

the unit works on a double suction set up, the heater draws water when needed, then the internal tank will draw water from the outside tank when needed. If all systems are not calling for water at the same time it will not work, you cant trick it. If your worried about freezing, run some non-toxic R>V> anti freeze thru it. It will also keep it from molding if freezing is not the issue.

I turn on machine & it starts to draw water straight away ( without the coffee button being pushed) only way to stop it is to push in steam button

What you are describing sounds to me as though your steam knob is open. Close it by turning it clockwise, or toward you. When this is open, it is drawing either water or steam, depending on whether you engage the steam button, and you will always hear the drawing (motor) sound.

B70 says it is brewing. Hear it draw water but it

on my fourth machine...just call keurig...they will replace it. THEN use only bottled drinking water (buy at store buy the gallon). I have done this for over a year now without any problems. Apparently my water had some hardness to it that plugged the line internally. My machine would draw a little water and no water would come out and the default cup size was set to large and could not change. I guess because the internal resivour (sp) was already full and there is no way to empty it.

Keurig will work only part time. Sometime will make one cup of coffee and then will not draw in the water for the second cup and shut itself off after 1 or 2 minutes. Has plenty of water in it just won't...

The water reservoir tank probably isn't seated properly. Try wiggling the tank a bit and if that doesn't do the trick, completely remove the water reservoir and then replace it. Once it's seated properly, it should start drawing water and brew as designed. This seems to be a design flaw with this particular model, so periodic adjusting of the water reservoir may be necessary to ensure it is seated properly if your problem persists. Hope that helps! Best of luck...

Does not draw water when tank is refilled.

Open the top (as if you want to insert a cup) and push back a bit more. This should get the air out of the system.

Water won't come through my Saeco via venezia coffee machine. It was working fine until I cleaned it so I don't think the pump has gone.

If the pump vibrates when trying to draw water then that is a good sign. Remo;ve the hose on the output side of the pump and turn it on to see if it draws water(BE Careful water and electricity love each other too much), it water flows out the output side, reconnect to boiler and test. If that did not solve the no draw problem then the machine is blocked either at the boiler.
