My monitors green light stays on, but the screen will come on for a second then goes off, it keeps repeating this. I have seen a couple on e-bay with the same problem. any ideas?

I have the same issue also, my father in law took it apart and didn't see any bad solders. But once it get s a little warm after a minute or two it automatically shut off with the green light still showing. I can hit the power button to turn it back on, then it will stay on for about 2 seconds then go back the the black screen, like it's in sleep mode. Any help would be appreciated!

When idle or if computer turned off, monitor turns black and although light is green, monitor flashes on momentarily then turns black again

Saw this happen on a monitor before, opened it up, found cold solder joints (where the component leads were not soldered very well to the circuit board), fired my solder gun up, resoldered every suspicious looking joint and presto! Been working fine for over a year now. :-)
