I have an older model rca rear projection tv. The problem with the tv is that the picture bends into curve after about 5 minutes after it has been turned on. Please help.

Check the convergence IC's for cold solders, check for leaking capacitors in the area. Check the voltage regulator with a Variac.

Usually these sets just need the 2 big convergence IC's replaced with new ones. Clean all 3 picture tube lenses, mirror and screen. Get the original RCA remote that came with the set and MANUALLY align the convergence.

Rarely the bow on the bottom of the screen is not repairable.

RCA 52" hooked to cable, can not see their heads. Is it because of HD. Do I need an HD cable from box to tv?

You can put it in wide screen format. On my remote I have to push TV then the right button a few times (right of the OK in the center) and it puts it in widescreen mode. My tv sayes RCA HDTV MONITOR on the front. I hope this helps.

My rca has no picture the screen has a snowy picture is if it was on the wrong channel through my cable box.

More information would help. What are you running the signal into the TV with? Coax? Separate video/audio? To test the set if you have a vcr hooked up or available to hook up, input it into the tuner input and play a tape. Set the tv to either channel 3 or 4 (whichever channel the output of the vcr is set for, this can be determined by checking the menu or a switch on the back if it is an older vcr). If your TV is ok you should be able to see the tape which is playing. If not, and you still have snow you probably need a new tuner in the set. Let me know if you need more help.

Hooking a Wii to Dish Network reciever(not a hd tv)

It sounds like you have a pretty new TV. This means that there should be multiple AV jacks in the back for setting up your many components. Plug in the receiver into #1, the Wii into #2, and any other equipment you may have (DVD, VCR etc.) in the same way. You should then use the original TV remote to switch between Video 1, 2, 3 and so one for each compnent you want to use. The button on the remote will be labeled video, tv/video, input select, or input, something like that.

Hope this helps!!

Broken cable hook up

sometimes if the tuner is not damaged then a technician can put it back on... the other option is to tune the channel through a vcr.. essentally bypassing the tv tuner and useing vcr tuner. hook the cable to vcr then using rca jacks yellow red and white connect it to you tv(if it has rca jacks ...most have them these days.. sometimes on front and sometime on back or even on the side.. tune your tv to that input(video 1 or something like that.. then using your vcr remote change channel...its not a perfect solution but it will save you the 130 buck most charge to repair that connector

Remote not working

Hi Suzanne. What you need to do first is get or have the original RCA remote available. next, go into the menu and do whats called a channel search, but you will need an antenna or cable line attached to the RF input of the TV set, Do whats called an auto search. Let the set complete its cycle. If it found no channels, then there is no input sourch or you have a bad tuner or its assoicitated componets. it should be in the owners manual on how to do this. If you do not have an owners manual, get one here http://www.thomsonnetwork.com/EN/Public/InstructionBook/IBSearchResults?querytext=P5292*&brands=RCA%2cGE%2cPROSCAN%2cRECOTON%2cSPIKEMASTER%2cAR%2cJENSEN%2cAMBICO%2cADVENT%2cUNBRANDED&doctypes=IB&categories=ACCESSORIES%2cAUDIO%2cCOMMUNICATION%2cDTVS%2cDVD%2cMULTIMEDIA%2cCOLOR_TV%2cVIDEO&firstdocnum=1 If you need a new remote or original replacement please go to http://remotes.com Good Luck please do not forget to rate this thread.
