Question about Vtech VT 1930C Cordless Phone (VT-1930C)
When I press the phone button, I get the beep to know handset is ON, then dial numbers and get NO beep for each entered number so have to check window to make sure number dialed correctly but, call DOES go through. When handset is OFF, I DO get a beep when I push ANY button on the handset. All else is working fine on the phone and have two others the same for years and they both work with the beeps for each button pushed, whether the handsets are on or off. Please let me know what could be wrong. I have researched my manual with no info. Please help!!!
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

SOURCE: Problem when dialing phone
Yes, I have had nothing but trouble with my V-Tech ia5823.
Slow to dial, dropping out going calls and now the base light is flashing at a rapid pace and will not charge the handset.
I want to return it to Wal-Mart but have misplaced the recepit.
I will never buy another V-Tech..Uniden is the way to go!

hold the select button down a few seconds until you'll see a 'tn' on the readout. this sets it to tone. hold it down again and it will set back to 'Pu' for pulse. i figured this out by accident. the losers at vtech never answered my question.

Here is something to try:
Disconnect or unplug the power supply (the small black box that is plugged into the wall outlet) wait for 30 seconds and then plug it in again. Sometimes the power supply needs to reset itself. It worked for me.

is your phone about a year old? It may be the battery. The vtech phones have weak batteries that clunk out after about a year and you'll get dropped calls, looking for base etc... The phone still appears to be working and the battery indicator tells you it's charged, but the battery is too weak to keep the wireless connection going.
Had the same problem and replaced the battery. budgetbatteries.com had the cheapest ones. But it's a knockoff, so I don't know how long it will last. So far it's been 3 months and the problems are gone. I would try that first and see how it goes. I paid about $15 including shipping. If you buy it from vtech it's at least double...

Monotary suggested the following and it seems to be working for now.
"Disconnect or unplug the power supply (the small black box that is plugged into the wall outlet) wait for 30 seconds and then plug it in again. Sometimes the power supply needs to reset itself."
