How do you remove a car stereo system. I have a 2002 Ford Courier and the stereo is one that has a small hole on each corner. I assume these have something to do with it?

Yes.. you can pick up Din removal tools. usually $5 and you get two in teh set.. slid them into the holes until you feel them latch then pull.. now just unplug the wires from the back and your stereo is removed.. very simple.

Howq to remove stereo on peugeot 206

Instructions can be found here

http://www.fitaudio.com/?View=entry&EntryID=11

Here is another video showing how to remove a standard radio from the dashboard.
A pair of extractors are required (available from Ebay etc ) but these can be made from 2 pieces of bent, wire coat-hanger or 4 small drills(using the blunt end) or 4 small Allen Keys
or 4 small screwdrivers or 4 nails or even 4 darts.

An assistant is useful to pull the radio out whilst you are releasing the 4
securing clips

note: on some radios , these 4 holes are protected by 4 small screws. These
can be unscrewed using the appropriate size of Allen key.

How do I remove stereo from a 2001 explorer sporttrac

You can go out and purchase the ford radio removal tools for about 12-14 dollars. They look like a small pair of horse shoes. You insert them into the four small holes until they "click" press outwards and pull. OR...you can insert 4 6d finish nails into the same four holes, press the right two simultaneously outward (same with the left) and pull at the same time. If I've helped, please rate my assistance and leave a testimonial.

97 Lincoln Towncar stereo displays "phone" and will not work. Display stays on even when car is turned off and locked.

this is caused by a defective logic circuit in the radio, Ford doesn't sell any parts or repair manuals to the public, the only places that get this are factory approved radio repair center, so the bottom line is u must remove the radio from the dash and send it out for repair to one of these repair centers, check with your local dealer for a name and phone number. to remove the radio takes a set of special tools that goes in the 4 small holes in the face of the radio, you can buy this Ford radio tool set from any good auto parts store like NAPA or Carquest, the counter person there can describe how they are used, it is very easy.

I need to install a kenwood cd player into my 2001 ford explorer step by step

goto the auto parts store and purchase a pair of stereo keys, fascia adaptor and wiring harness (you may need to get fascia and harness from a car audio store or circuit city.)
Then use the stereo keys to remove the factory stereo. Push them into the small holes on the front of the stereo push them slightly outwards and pull to release the stereo. Unplug all the connectors from back keeping track of where they fall.
Insert wiring harness into the stock wiring
attach fascia in regards to its packaged instructions.
Place cage from new stereo into the hole in the dash using the tabs on cage to secure it,
Attach stereo to other end of new harness along with aerial (may need adaptor for this also depending on the new head unit.)
Insert stereo into new cage and voila nice new stereo.
