Question about E-Machines eMachines Desktop PC
Hi, I have an emachine models T2642. When i turn my PC on it goes to a blue screen that reads: A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. Then it tell me to follow certain steps but nothing is working on my computer.
It seems as if your windows or hard drive crashed!!!. If you have important data you will need to take it to a technician to retreive the information.
Ok here is what you can do to attempt to fix the error. No matter which version of windows you use it has a repair function and if that fails you will need to try a full format. In the event that it is the hard drive you will need to replace the hard drive I am posting 2 links 1 is how to do a windows repair the second is for a full format. Even if your version of windows is different its the same steps so just follow along.
PS you will need the original windows cd that came with your computer, sometimes its labeled restore. If you dont have one borrow one from a friend the serial number for the windows is supposed to be on a tag on your computer..
