One fuel hose inside tank has the fuel-filter this goes to the primerbulb and from the primerbulb goes another fuel hose to the carburetor and the surplus from the carburetor goes back into tank again some saws have an special air puls line by a hose from an carter pulsation to the carburetor that will move the float needle by a membraan (its no fuel line)

How to replace fuel pick up,line in Husqvarna 1414 chainsaw?

You need to remove carb and then you can access the hole for the fuel tank. you need to go to a Husqvarna dealer and get the correct line. if too big wont go in if too small will leak replace fuel filter when you do it.

I have a Husqvarna model 444 chain saw. The fuel pick up line disolved in the fuel tank. How do I replace?

order new fuel line and filter from www.randysenginerepair.biz
remove top cover, remove air filter, remove fuel line from carburetor, empty gas tank, pull remains of fuel line out of tank and replace with new.

Replacing 16" craftsman chainsaw fuel line. Problem is one line from tank with two ports on carb and two ports on bulb. There is no diagram to show sequence of connections.

The second carburetor port feeds the primer (bleeder), returns excess fuel to tank.
Filtered line to carb, carb to bleeder, bleeder to tank (probably not visible and no hose in tank).

You can find an exploded parts list wit a little detail here:
http://www.searspartsdirect.com/partsdirect/index.action?psid=74199074&sid=PSx20071217x00001a&OVMTC=Exact&site=&creative=3873724584&OVKEY=searspartsdirect%20com
The print is deceptive, it appears the filtered line feed the bleeder it does not!

If you have more questions or need additional help please reply below and I will get back to you. Good Luck. HTH

How to replace fuel line/filter 1994 husqvarna 36 chainsaw?

You can find an IPL with fuel system components, part numbers and some detail here: They are probably spread overr multiple images.
HusqvarnaUSA.com
http://www.husqvarna.com/us/homeowner/support/download-manuals/
Enter the 3 digit model number (no XPs, Es, just the numbers)
Serial number decode – for use with IPL
06 1500198
06 = year produced – 2006 (single digit before 2000)
15 = week produced - March
00198 = 198th unit Husky produced that week

  • The hose in the tank with the filter on the free end connects directly to the carburetor input connection.
  • If the saw is equipped with a primer bulb, the output line from the carburetor connects to the suction side of the primer (once the bulb is collapsed it draws fuel from the tank through the carburetor to refill as it inflates).
  • The pressure side of the primer returns displaced fuel to the tank as it is depressed.
Take lots of notes and a few digital photographs to help with reassembly. HTH

Diagram of fuel line for Craftsman 16" chainsaw

Your saw is a Poulan. Try converting the cc to a model number. A 2.2cc Craftsman is often a Poulan model 2200. go to this link and find something that appears the same under (POULAN-WEED-EATER).
http://www.ordertree.com/cms/illustrated-parts-list/9788.html
The IPL will help. Pay attention to the year there is a different area for older saws.
For a current saw Craftsman should have something available.

Husqvarna chainsaw repair

Usually empty fuel, use hook to pull out line , remove filter. Remove air filter cover and airfilter ,now you should be able to see line. Most just pull of carby and go through tank, some you may have to take screws out of av mounts in back of tank to see hole to put it back in.cheers hope this helps if where a stihl i could tell exactly.
