Question about HP Compaq Presario V2000 Notebook

1 Answer

PC turns off when I unplug it.

The PC would only last 5 minutes on the battery. Then it began to turn off as soon as I unplugged it. Bought new battery and it is back to only staying on for 5 minutes before it shuts off.

I haven't been playing my wii for a few months, but today I wanted to play, so I tried turning it on, and it didn't turn on! It was still all hooked up, but the red light isn't even on. I'm sure it's set...

Just make sure it is plugged in.If it was plugged in the whole time, you may simply need to unplug it for 5 minutes to reset the power transformer. If that doesn't work, you probably need a new power adapter. If you have anything that you do not use for months on end,you should unplug it and if it is battery operated, remove the batteries.Batteries erode very quickly when not used, and could make whatever they are in completely useless trash. Here is a link to Nintendo for further help and possible parts dealers. You can also try their troubleshooting help, but there won't be much difference from what I mentioned.Good luck,Greg

Battery indicator keeps fluctuating to 4hrs to 6hrs back to 4hrs then 8hrs every 5 mins or so i have acer A0532H with windows 7

first of all let me ask how old is the battery, if it`s new-discharge the battery until pc shuts down itself because of low battery, remove the battery , unplug AC charger from laptop, wait for 5 minutes, then hold power button for 5 full seconds, wait another 5 minutes, then put battery and ac charger on , don`t turn on laptop yet, wait until battery indicator shows that battery fully charged, then remove AC charger, and turn on laptop. P.S. you can try this on old battery too, but usually worthless, because old batteries are not recognizable by system currectly ..

Laptop turns off as soon as power cord is removed. I was in the library last night and had it plugged in for awhile. When I went to leave I unplugged it from the wall and the whole computer just *******....

It appears that the battery is not charging. Simply reseat the battery, remove it and put it back, If its still not charging, you may try a another battery. If the other battery is still not charging, you may have to call your laptop manufacturer for motherboard replacement. Hope this will help you.

Mel

I turn on the power button and t shuts rght back off

Disconnect all electricity including the battery for at least 5 minutes. As soon as you pull the battery and unplug push and hold the power button for a minute. It discharges static electricity which can cause this problem.

Acer 4520 woun't turn on

More than likely it's the motherboard.

You can try resetting the bios by unplugging the cmos battery and the main battery for 5 minutes.

But it's a long shot.

Just bought an additional handset for GE 27951 expandable 6.0 DECT Cordless. I press and hold the Page button for 5 seconds but the new handset will not register. Error keeps occurring "no base."

This exact thing happened to me. Same model number. No matter what I did, the new handsets would not register.

The solution? Reset the entire system:
1. On the BASE - Unplug from wall both power and phone line. Unplug battery from base handset.
2. ON the Extension phone - unplug from wall and unplug battery from handset.
3. Wait AT LEAST 5 minutes.
4. Plug back in BASE power.
5. Plug back in BASE phone line.
6. Plug back in EXTENSION handset battery. Don't plug in BASE handset yet.
7. Follow steps to program EXTENSION. When successful:
8. Plug back in BASE handset battery.
