I have the same problem. But the reels do not seem to be turning. Is it worth fixing?

If the reels appear to be turning, then the actual reel sensors or the flex cable that is part of the loading chassis have likely failed. Either way, it's not an easy repair and best left to a qualified technician

The error you are looking at is a reel error, meaning the the tape reels are not turning. The likely causes are a defective tape, bent reel tables or other drive problems

You are probably looking at around $100 repair to get the mech sub chassis, with the reel sensors replaced. Please, if you approve of my information, please be sure to rate it. Thanks!

I have a Sony DCR-TRV250 Digital Handycam Camcorder. Currently a tape is stuck in it and the camcorder won't eject it. The tape unit comes out but won't open.

I got the tape to eject by removing the battery from the camcorder, putting it back on so that the tape would go back inside the camera. Then I had the tape eject again. Several times the tape would not be ejected but I repeated my steps until the camera released the tape.

Everytime i insert the tape i get this beeping sounds and flashing numbers on the screen.

Beeping and error code flashing shows that camcorder got some problem and usually its tape mechanism that needs qualified tech to check and fix.
Mostly its take-up reel section problems. Local camera tech will fix it.
Thanks.

Sony camcorder has self diagnostic function inbuilt and if it detects any problem in listed sections it will start beeping, you can check error code that would be like C:31:10 or some thing on top right corner of LCD, let me know that error code to find out problem section in camcorder.
Thanks.

The no tape and eject symbols are flashing at the same time.

Those signs means Record tab on tape is ON, eject tape and check record tab and make sure to set it on Record position.

Sm. triangle flashes

I have found, that if you oilthe gears ( DO NOT OIL THE PLASTIC ROLLERS OR THE RECORDING HEAD, DO NOT USE WD40, USE AN ACTUAL OIL DRIPPER), and the hinge on the camera tape door, that it... So far has fixed my issue with the same problems and have been good for 6 months now. The camera would flach stuck tape, eject, and it would act as if it was stuck.

My camera function is not working

It could be that the tape heads are dirty. You should try cleaning them with a 8mm tape cleaner. Radio Shack carries them.
