The sensor is stuck . Motor is not working properly. To remove dvd try hard reset .

Else you need to unscrew to get the dvd out of the player .

Check if something is blocking the door to open.if no then the gears in the internal area are either worn out.apply the oily substance in the sides of the dvd gears to make it move frequently.
thanks.

to remove the disk manually for now.just OFF the pc and take a thin metallic material like needle .in the front area of the dvd area you will see a very small hole just slowly insert the needle in it and press slowly.the cover of the dvd player will slightly come out just pull the door slowly with your hand.and remove the dvd disk from the player.then you can check the side gears of the door which came out.apply oily material to that gears.and push the door IN/OUT 3-4 times with your hands and then ON the pc and check it should work..

and the other reason that the dvd door is not ejecting is that the dvd which you inserted in the player is broken inside and that is blocking the door to come out.if that is the case then you have to remove the dvd player from the pc.then on the back of the player there r four screws just remove that screws and the top area will be removed and now you can see the dvd disk in that player, remove all the broken dvd disk parts.

    rate the solution if helped.

    feel free for further assistance.

    thanks.

JVC Model DR-MV99 tray door keeps opening and closing when trying to insert a DVD disk

This problem was driving me crazy, until I found a solution.
This is what you need to do.
When the tray is open grab the flap door that goes up when the dvd goes in. Hold it down as you the DVD tray goes in. (Its spring loaded) This allows you to have direct access to the front of the tray even when the DVD goes all the way in. Hold the tray in with your finger by pushing in firmly on the far right corner of the DVD tray. The DVD tray will try and come out, continue to hold it in while pressing the eject button on the remote. If you are firmly pressing in on the right corner of the tray it should only take a few times of pressing eject when you see the Disk symbol on the screen and you will here the DVD start loading. When you know that it is starting to load release the front door flap. You can then use the DVD player as normal.
Unfortuntely you will need to do this each time a DVD is loaded.

My husband always operated the DVD player. He has died and now I'm at a loss what to do. I rented a DVD at the video store. I tried to put it into the tray on the DVD player. I had to pull the tray...

Hi, Very sorry for your loss. As always the first step is to make sure the player is connected to the wall outlet and turned on. To put a disk in the DVD you should push the "Eject" button to open and close the tray it looks like a home(a triangle over a dash) on the front side of the box down left corner of the tray. You have the same button on the remote marked "Eject". Push either once, put the disk with the shiny side down on the tray and push the Eject button again to feed the tray back into the player. Usually the disk starts automatically and you will see a menu on the TV with alternatives like "Play the movie", "Setup", "Scenes",... you may highlight the "Play the movie" alternative, using "Up", "Down", "Left" and "Right" and then press the "OK" button. Or just push the "Play" button either on the box or the remote control. If you click "Here "you can download the manual in PDF form. To open it in your pc you'll need "Adobe Acrobat Reader" (or any other PDF reader) installed.
I will gladly answer your questions Best Regards Bruce

Shows Open when closed and vice versa. Tries to

The tray orientation may have gotten messed up. Try opening the player and then unplugging it, closing the tray with the unit powered off and then turning it back on.

Dvd player will not open disc, display lock

Sound like it either has one or two problems, the door is stuck and or the door eject motor has failed. Look in the front to the player for a small paperclip like hole, and use a paper clip to manual eject the and engage the loading mechanism usually located under the door for most cases. Check you manuals troubleshooting section for manually ejecting a CD..

Please leave comment.

Pioneer DVL v888 disk tray will not open. There is a disk in it.

There isn't a way to open it by hand without removing the cover.

As for fixing the tray, there might be a few reasons why its not working. When you press one of the eject buttons, do you hear the usual whirring of motors? If you do and the tray still does not open, then the problem may be a broken rubber belt near the front.

If you don't hear the whirring of motors, then try playing the disk. If the disk does not play either, then the disk loading mechanism is out of sync and may require manually resetting it. This is accomplished by carefully pulling the spring loaded carriage upwards or downwards until it responds to the play button. Be very careful not to touch any of the exposed electrical components and capacitors, electrical shock may occur.

something like this is a physical problem. you should contact the manufacturer to see if there is a manual eject button and if not you will have to take it apart to get the disk.
