C1100 service req e527

Open the top cover, lift the orange PCU lever and lift out the PCU using the handle. With the front cover closed you should be able to rotate the Toner cartridge "carousel". If not then find and remove the blockage. If it does rotate then it is a sensor problem which involves stripping down the printer. I have helped with this problem before, just follow this link

What firmware version have you updated to? Check the sensor for the carousel. It could be that the sensor has got a nudged and knocked out of alignment. Remove the PCU and you will see the sensor on the left side above the carousel. Adjust it so it lines up better with the carousel. If it's still bad, check the sensor behind the LV/HV power supply. To do this you will need to remove the two power supply's. the developer home position sensor is not registering. it will need to be cleaned. This will involve the removal of the left side cover, the removal of the power supply pcb and the removal of the sensor which sits under the power supply. clean the sensor out with a dry pain brush and re install. be careful to turn the printer off and unplug it prior to removing any covers. the cover is easily removed, however, take your time and make sure you release all the clips on the inside of the cover. once the cover is off it is easy to get to the sensor. don't worry too much about all the connections to the power supply, they only fit in one plug and cannot be inter changed.

Remember to take your time in this operation. If you are at all uncomfortable with this, do yourself a favor and call a technician in to do it. He wii do it in about fifteen minutes.

The E547 error relates to the feed motor: Service Req E547 Feed Motor Failure DRIVE ASSY FEED (Feed Motor) of the Feeder is not rotating at the specified speed. This is error is most often caused by electronic part failures rand is not easily rectified by the non professional user. Continuity needs to be checked on several parts of the harness as well as voltage and resistance tests to determine which part has failed. If the machine has warranty on it, you need to call Epson.
