Question about Lite On LVW-5005 DVD Recorder
Something like this is a physical problem. you should contact the manufacturer to see if there is a manual eject button and if not you will have to take it apart to get the disk.

I've had the same problem for some time. I have found that if you insert a VHS tape on the cassette side, insert then eject, and then switch back to the DVD player the DVD door usually opens right away. Not sure what if any corrolation there is between the two sides of the player but it's worked for me.
