Question about HP Officejet Pro L7580 All-In-One InkJet Printer
My printer had a paper jam. When I took off the rear access panel to remove the paper, a black plastic thingy (don't know name for it) came off when I was pulling the paper from the carriage. I popped the black plastic thing (it is the width of the rear access panel) back on (I am assuming that it guides the paper through the rollers), and closed the panel. However, the black plastic thing is loose (when I open rear access panel it pops off) and I a white plastic thing popped out of the paper tray. (I am not sure where it came from). Now the printer is not pulling any paper from the tray, and when it does manage to pull paper, it is jamming right by the rear access panel.
This is the pickup guide....
It is replaceable but you should take it to an authorized HP repair center.
Look for a commercial printer repair company in your area.. not a local computer kid.. this is a part that must be ordered by a guy with certifications.. otherwise.. you void the warranty.
If this printer is under warranty.. give HP a call and ask them if they can send a replacement.. I will warn you though.. they'll want to troubleshoot and give you a hard time to avoid sending a replacement... if you have patience and stamina with people... you can try and i wish you the best.
If it's too much.. it might jsut be easier to buy new and donate the poor printer.
Best wishes. www.techvisitor.com

Tips for a great answer:

If the Paper Feed Roller is dirty or paper powder is attached to it, paper may not be fed properly.
In this case, clean the Paper Feed Roller. Cleaning will wear out the Paper Feed Roller, so perform this only when necessary.
You need to prepare: three sheets of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper
1.Make sure that the power is turned on, and remove any paper from the Rear Tray.
2.Open the Paper Output Tray gently, and open the Output Tray Extension.
3.Clean the Paper Feed Roller without paper.
(1) Press the (Maintenance) button repeatedly until b appears.
(2) Press the Black or Color button.
The Paper Feed Roller will rotate as it is cleaned.
4.Clean the Paper Feed Roller with paper.
(1) Make sure that the Paper Feed Roller has stopped rotating, and load three sheets of A4 or Letter-sized plain paper in the Rear Tray.
(2) Make sure that b appears on the LED, then press the Black or Color button.
The machine starts cleaning. The cleaning will be completed after the paper is ejected.
This should fix the issue
