Printer is plugged in but won't come on. i checked the device going into the back of the printer and the green light is on.

Try switching off the printer then removing the plug from the wall. Give it a minute or two before plugging it back in again. This may help.
Just a thought though. Check that your computer is still showing the correct printer as the default printer.
You can do this by going to the control panel/devices and printers and check that the tick on a green background is against your printers icon. If it isn't , right click on the icon and click "set as default printer.

Try pressing the power a little longer for the printer to start.

Try to plug the printer into a different known working power outlet in the wall. Bypass any power surge devices or power strips - these tend to draw away power from the printer.

I will advice you reset your canon printer, Follow this steps to reset your canon printer.

1. Turn off printer.
2. retaining button Resume/Cancel press button POWER - indicator it will catch fire by green color.
3. let go button Resume/Cancel, continuing to retain POWER.
4. press button Resume/Cancel of 2 times, retaining POWER, after which let go all buttons.
5. when indicator will be lit BY GREEN - press button Resume/Cancel of 4 times.
6. turn off printer by button POWER. Power on later to see if that fix the problem.

Try to power drain it. Unplug all the power related devices that are connected, like a monitor data cable or external printer, just unplug all the cables in the back after you shut down your computer, press the power switch of your computer and keep it pressed for about 45 secs, release it, plug everything back and check it if its working. As well double check if that particular socket is usable, plug something else in to see if its working.

Some troubleshooting tips:

• Right click the printer icon in your icon tray to clear any queued items
• Go to your printers in the control panel and make sure that the Epson is the default printer
• Unplug the printer and plug it back in to reset it
• Push the blinking light/Start/On button on the printer, sometimes printer lights blink after they have received new paper and are waiting for you to "authorize"
• Open the printer and check for jams
• Re-insert the printer ink cartridges and close the printer

The lights continually flashing indicate a paper jam or the printer being out of ink. Check/clear any paper jam and verify the ink cartidge is set correctly.

Hi there just tak all out again like the inks and so on and try again never know

Try this:

Pull the power cord out of the back of the printer.

Then move the printhead to the center and pull out the ink and the printhead. Clean the printhead and examine the bottom for burned areas.

With the printhead still out, close the cover and plug the power in and turn the power on. If your printer isn't damaged, it should go through all diagnostics and give you a solic green light. This means you probably need a new printhead.
