Oh Oh You must bring it to Sony to repair. It require a qualifier Tech trained. I believe the LS chassis mech or loading motor faulty
DO NOT try to remove the tape by yoursefl. you might make it worst or more expensive to repair

I have a Sony Handy cam DCR-HC30. When i put a cassette in, it says (reinsert the cassette).

-make sure that your tape is clean and dry
-clean the tape head inside the tape deck if you have a video head tape cleaner
*tape head: the one that reads the tape inside the camcorder.its the metal thing at the bottom inside the tape deck.
-or you can use a soft and dry Q-tip to clean it(dont use any liquid cleaners)
*or if confused where the tape head is....just clean all metal parts inside the tape deck and make sure you do it lightly with a soft dry Q-tip.

The tape department will not open. I press eject, but nothing happens. My battery is fully charged.

This can be caused by several problems including a defective eject switch in the cameras internal circuitry and can usually be repaired fairly inexpensively. However, it’s not a user serviceable problem and will need to be repaired qualified service technician.

My name is Rick and I’m a professional repair technician with over 20 years in the business and have repaired many of these. I’m semi retired and work from home with little overhead so I can keep repair costs low. If you decide to have the camera repaired, please click HERE for a directory listing that suits your needs.

I have a Sony DCR-TRV250 Digital Handycam Camcorder. Currently a tape is stuck in it and the camcorder won't eject it. The tape unit comes out but won't open.

I got the tape to eject by removing the battery from the camcorder, putting it back on so that the tape would go back inside the camera. Then I had the tape eject again. Several times the tape would not be ejected but I repeated my steps until the camera released the tape.

Cannot find way to eject tapecassette

Check eject lever near battery, press it downward to open tape compartment, take out old tape and put new tape, close tape door and let it go inside by itself. Close tape compartment.

Below image will help you to locate eject button/ lever in DCR-HC18E camcorder.
Thanks.
