My camera stopped working after dow...

I was downloading images from camera to computer. I was called away and left the camera connected to the computer; someone else used the computer. I came back later and disconnected the camera from the computer and now it is totally unresponsive, even with new batteries. Can my camera be revived? nikon l18 left the camera plugged in after dl pix had got called out when I came back unpluger the camera and now it won't come on just power light. When I turn off the screen has the welcome screen then turns off.
