Can you explain how exactly you are trying to insert it? Some of these drive have a cap that cover the actual USB port. Others, you have to slide the port out with a slider..

How to insert sandisk cruzer force usb flash drive into computer?

Usb sockets are all same. Haven't changed. There are other sockets that look similar. HDMI, eSata, display port. I would look very closely to make sure you are attempting to install in the correct port. You might first want to take a look at the flash drive end to make sure that there is no damage. Shouldn't be unless you really tried to force it into wrong port. Other than that, it will fit.

Bought sandisk cruzer blade usb flash drive 1 day ago but unable to instll it properly.sometimes it is working properly but unable to continue to use it since i formated it.

To make sure that the usb flash drive is working, try inserting it in a different computer. If the problem persists, you may have a defective usb flash drive. Try returning it back to the store where you bought it from to avail of the product warranty. If the store where you buy it is legit, they should replace your item with a working one. To avoid this problem in the future, try using it in the store first before taking it home.

I am a student in school, and I am not to computer savvy on Flash drive.. It did not come with any instructions on how to use it. It is a Cruzer USB 2.0 Flash Drive (4GB) Can you help me with step-by-step...

  • Boot up your computer and find an open USB port. These are small, rectangular ports typically on the sides or backs of laptop computers, or on the fronts or backs of desktop towers.

  • Plug your flash drive into the USB port. The drive will slide in only if it is turned in the right direction, so if you have trouble inserting it, turn it over.

  • Make sure your computer sees the flash drive. It should launch a menu, letting you know that it has found a new storage device. You can choose an option from the menu or close the menu if you don't need to immediately access the flash drive.

  • Install the flash drive's driver if your computer doesn't recognize the flash drive. The flash drive's packaging should include the manufacturer's website address. Open your Internet browser, go to that address, and download the flash drive's driver from the site. Install the driver on your computer. After that, your computer should be able to recognize your drive.

Instructions on how to operate a sandisk cruzer us 2.0 flash drive. what is supposed to happen when i insert the drive, should any on screen instructions inform me what i am transferring to the drive.

Your system will automatically recognize your sandisk and will automatically install the drivers for it (this will show on the time taskbar located at the lower right side of the screen). After successfully loading the drivers you can now access your usb drive by going to My computer and should have the drive letter after your cd/dvd drive.

    1gb cruzer micro

This is caused by 1 of 2 problems:
    1. Your flash drive is corrupted in some way, forcing the computer to reformat it before you can use it.
    2. The flash drive was formatted for a specific device (like a piano) and was made only for that device.
    3. Your PC incorrectly recognized it
    4. You do not have the correct drivers installed.
If you have problem #4, you can go onto google and search "1 gb cruzer micro drivers".
If you have problem #3, try plugging your flash drive into a different USB port.
If you have problem #2 or #1 (Which it most likely is), then you should try or buy a software application such as PC Inspector, to recover those files. Then you may reformat the flash drive.

However, I found that sometimes, just restarting the computer, and inserting and re-inserting the flash drive sometimes does work. But that's not guaranteed.
