My TV does the same, WS-55859. After plugging in, the TV keeps blinking its green LED infinitely. I remember that it used to blink for a long time last time I used the TV.

Last time I used the TV, the red cathod convergence was really out of alignment with green and blue. The 64-point convergence could not fix it. I gave up and bought a new LCD TV. Anyway, I wanted to sell this Mitsubishi TV, but now it won't work at all.

My suspicion is that some component in the digital board is not working. Maybe the EEPROM is fried (won't store convergence coordinates) settings. That's all I can think of for why it doesn't work now.

Mine has a similar problem, I hit the system reset and now i can't even turn my television on. Any suggestions.

Power went off while the tv was off I'm told and now the only thing that it does is the green timer light blinks. I have tried unplugging it and using the system reset but still just blinks and the tv wont turn on.

Same exact problem and I called TV repair they came out and said it's due to power surge and it will cost me $900 to repair because digital board is fried. I guess it's time for a new tv.

The TV is on protect mode.

Try first leaving the TV power cord unplugged for some times, let say one hour or so.

Also ensure that the fault is not coming from a faulty receiver box sending bad signal, check if you get same problem with no receiver box or dvd connected.

If that does not work, and you keep having a flashing led on front of the TV, and tv turning off by itself after a while, that indicates a fault condition.

The flashing light indicates a diagnostic state called protection.
When the TV goes on protection there are only two possible reasons.

1The internal circuits are jammed because of electrostatic charges accumulating on capacitors, or because of a wrong voltage read by the main chip on your monitor controller board. this started the protection circuit.

2 The protection circuit detected a wrong voltage or abroken contact, identified an internal fault and kicked in , startingthe flashing light.

If you are in situation one, then theTV will reset just unplugging power cord for one or two hours, sometimes even minutes.

If you are in situation 2 , then there is an internal fault.

Common faults that can occur are a blown capacitor on power board, a convergence IC has blown, or a fault on Digital board.

Check also the video cable or any external connection cable, if the cable is shorting, or the connector is bad, you can get same flashing state because of the video cable.

If under warranty contact the manufacturer ringing the number on the user manual

If you want to repair at your own expenses, just locate any good qualified repairer.

Green LIght Blinking

Does the led ever stop blinking? No ..well in that case generally this indicates a standby voltage problem...if all those voltages ok then the cuircit known as digital module is at fault. also make sure the lockout has not been activiated. i really dont think it could but to unlock hold menu button down for 10 seconds. After all that i believe it would be a bad digital module

Blinking Green Timer Light

I suspect the lamp area is VERY dirty as is the cabinet's filters and fans. This causes great stress on your tv and lamp. Take the time to clean all of them fully. Is the unit in a dirty area? or in a high temp area? DLP's dont like high temp or contaminated areas as they are NOT air sealed units.

Blinking green timer light on front nearpower button keeps blinking, tv will not turn on, unplugged for 24 hours and tried again, also hit system reset and still nothing.

Thats a common problem when the caps on the DM need replacement. They will function fine untill power is interupted then the set will not complete the boot sequence when power is reapplied and the led will just continue to blink. Hers a link to the kit that will usually repair that issue the kit comes with instructions.

Blinking green light under 'Timer' flashes there is no picture

If you have a green blinking LED that runs continuosly, its the widespread problem of failures of capacitors on several circuit boards in the TV. Currently Mits is having authorized service centers remove the chassis and send it them for rebuilding. Its an expensive and time consuming repair.

Turn on the TV and only Timer light is on , no sound & picture

after holding down the menu and device the led will blink a two digit error code such as 3 blinks pause then 4 blinks then repeat that sequence a couple of times. Need that blink code to help let you know whats going on. The 34 code means lamp abnormality which translates to the power Pwb capacitors have most likely failed.
