Royal 1280mx shredder suddenly stopped working. No power light, no motor activity. I suspect a blown fuse in the unit. Can someone give me an estimate for repair?

My canon S9000 uses my MAC OSX 10.5.8
Since I cleared a paper jam, and as far as I can see partially disassembling unit there is nothing left in there, nonetheless the unit powers up OK but when I click on print the paper passes through and then I get three short yellow flashes and a green one. I get error code 306 communication error.
Thanks
