The TV was working. I shut it off and came back a couple of hours later and it would not turn on and a red light was flashing in front. I can't find my booklet for troubleshooting. Can you help me?

If the red light is flashing then it is the starter that is not working properly. You can take a hair dryer to the upper left corner as you look at the TV from the back and warm it up. Once it has been warmed up enough the red light will stay solid and stop blinking, The tv should then turn on.

Open the back of the TV,and look at the can shaped items on the boards. If any of them have the tops,or bottoms bulged out, they need to be replaced. This should get it working again.I hope this helps. If you have any questions, please let me know.Thank You very much!

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

hi,
you have to replace the inverter board. If the invereter board overloaded the powers supply, then the tv will go to standby after some time.

Hitachi Plasma TV model P50H401

I think you have problems with the digital main PWB.

If the power PWB failed, turn off and change the pilot ligth to red.

Five blinks is a severe hardware failure supplys not working. Viper is down. You have atleast a bad power supply board could have taken out your sustain boards. If you are good with a meter you can measure voltages and see if just your power supply is dead. If you have never handled a multimeter you will need a tech and a power supply is not cheap..Power supply is about a 600 dollar board.
