If you do not have a Restore CD to run...

Reboot your computer.

As soon as you see anything on the screen look for a message similiar to:

For Setup press F10, For Recovery press F11.

They can be any "F" key.

Press the one that says "Recovery" and follow the instructions. If you miss it the first time, try again. You only get a few seconds to make the choice.

I am on vacation and don't have the drivers/with me and don't know how long its been since the drive last worked. So restoring may not work either. Any place to download the drivers??? Fixya...

Need to buy a software that automatically search the internet for all drivers that your computer needs, including dvd or cd rom drivers. Such software can download drivers that you need, if it's better than going to your dvd rom's manufacturers website to download your driver there. Driver magician is but just one software among many like it. Driver solution is also good. Try it. Hope this would lessen your problems with drivers. Have a nice day friend.

I have a toshiba laptop that was giving to me, but it had been wipeout. so my question what should i do to restore it

Hi,
Glad to be of service.
As much I want to give you the best answer for your concern, you did not specifically mentioned what is the state of the computer. But don't need t worry let me give you suggestion for your concern. Since you mentioned that somebody handed you down the laptop. What I can suggest is do a fresh installation of the operating software. If in case, the previous owner did not give you the installation CD for the operating software, all you need to do is to buy one for your own. It will be best to check the specification of your laptop before buying one so that you know what software you will be buying.
I hope I answered your concern.
Thanks a lot!!

I need to do a system restore on my Dell Dimension DE051. I do not have any of the discs and looking for HELP!!!!!

Hello pamnwillie,
To perform a "System Restore.
" Follow these instructions carefully, and you will have no problem at all.
The first thing you want to do is click on the "Start Button,paul7of9_50.jpg" from the Desktop.
Next, click on "All Programs," scroll to find "Accessories," next select the "System Tools.
" You will see in the next window that open, "System Restore!

paul7of9_51.jpg

"Now this is very important!
Once you click on the System Restore "shortcut" it will start to look for the last known time of a change in your computer.
The System restore can take as long as a 1/2 an hour to run, so be patient
"Do not try to do any type of work, don't even touch the keyboard for any reason,
just let it run!"
Once the System Restore finds the correct "Date and Time"of the event;
choose the Date closest to the time of the occurrence.

.paul7of9_53.jpg

Now once again, there will be a message telling you not to do anything with the computer,
and please don't.
The System Restore will "run" for a while, so once again be patient.

paul7of9_52.jpg

The computer will then "Shutdown and Restart."
Lo-gin if you have to; but!
Do not touch the Keyboard once the Desktop window open, because System Restore is still running.
Wait! Until there is a message letting you know the Restore of your System was successful! Take your time.
"I hope all goes well, please let me know if you need further assistant.
Best Regards.
Thanks for using Fix'Ya."

I don't know how to get back my Microsoft word on my computer.

Hello, there are many posibilities your MS Word is still in your computer, If you have Windows XP click on Start menu then click on all programs, and look for Microsoft office folder, once you have your mouse over that menu, it will show all your MS Office applications, to get back your MS Word icon to the desktop, right click on Microsoft Word's icon and then click on Send to, then click on Desktop (Create A Shortcut).
Almost the same procedure is used with windows Vista/Seven: Click on start menu and type in the search box the word: 'Word', you'll see all the matches, there must be MS Word among the matches, right click on it and send the icon to desktop as a shortcut.
If you don't find The office folder nor the word Icon, is time to 'restore' your system, on Windows XP press F1 key and under the Choose a task subtitle, look for something like 'Undo previously done changes using System Restore', system restore window will appear, click on next and choose a date before the problem started happening, for example if the problem started on wednesday and your most recent restore point was on monday click on monday and start the restore process by clickng 'next' button.
The same procedure is very similar on Windows Vista and Seven, for these OSes you'll have to search for 'System Restore' in the F1 help menu and follow the instructions given.
If you're still having problems finding MS Word my recommendation is to go to a computer store and seek for professional help on the subject.
I hope these tips help, best wishes.
Have a nice day.

I Have the HP Pavilion zv6233nr laptop and I need to restore it like from factory, I don't have disks. I but I don't know if this model has a hidden partition in order to restore

It does not have a restore partition. You will have to get an operating system installation disc to re-install Windows XP. If you do go that route here is a link to the page that contains all the drivers for your laptop. CLICK HERE to go to page.

I need to restore my computer to factory settings

Ok, first, you are asking a very interesting question since you have Win7 HP 64bit, but you do not know how to reset to factory settings? First, why do you have a 64bit version of Win7? Most people pay a processing penalty for this, so I do not understand, unless you run Fourier Analysis on your screensaver :P
My next issue is I am not sure what you mean by factory settings? Normally this means performing a full new install without data backup, etc... If I recall my Windows manual correctly, aside from backup/restore, which it does not sound like you have that setup, there is no other magic button to push to get to factory settings, unless of course you have a recovery disk and know your way around that. Sounds like a full install is warranted, you probably should make sure any data you have is backed up somewhere before doing that though, or you will lose it.

Need a restore disk for acer laptopex4420

Hello

Thank you for using
FixYa for your problem

Windows 7 and Vista has a feature called System Restore that automatically backs up registry and system files whenever you install new software or drivers. This feature is useful when you install evil software that makes your computer run really slow. But don’t worry, System Restore won’t remove Windows Vista.

Using System Restore in Windows

There are two places that you can use the system restore feature from. From within Windows, you can just type restore into the Start menu search box, and you’ll immediately see System Restore at the top of the start menu:
now just follow it all

Please rate our solutions and if you still have problems please call back for more ideas to help you

Thanks
