There might be a problem with your cord/cable (a cord/cable that will enable you to connect your cam to PC).pls try to connect the cable firmly if still does not work pls try to get your memory card from your cam and put it in a card reader. That way you may be able to download pics from your cam to your PC.

NOTE: some card readers may need an adapter to be fitted in an SD size card for example i have an micro SD memory card i will need an adapter to fit the micro SD to SD.like this picture

USB - baf62c8.jpg

youll be needing this to insert it in a card reader
this is an example of an ordinary card reader

this is an example of a universal card reader

use these following devices and you will be able to download pics from your cam to PC.
i hope i was able to help you! good luck!

My Nikon COOLPIX L3 USB cable to download pix to computer missing

You don't need a USB cable.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program.

You can download the current versions of all (free) Nikon software from here.

Hi I have a sony cyber shot digital camera model no.dsc-s950 and I would like to know if I need a what type of battery charger do I need to charge my battery, and where can I find one for cheap, also n

Here's one source for a compatible battery charger.
I can't tell whether your battery is compatible with your sister's charger since you neglected to specify the model of her camera.
You should be able to use any USB cord, but I suggest you don't. Bought a second hand Pentax Optio m20 with no software and would like to download pictures to my computer.using a windows xp pro operating system.Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks John

When you hook the camera up to the usb port, windows should automatically detect it as a drive. Then you can transfer your pictures to a folder on your hard drive. Also, if you have a card reader, you can transfer pictures that way. You can order card readers on ebay or get them at Walmart or Radio Shack.

You don't need any special software.

You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or, despite what I said first, you can use any photo management program such as Picasa.

Missing CD-ROM & cables for Curtis Digital Camera Model# DCD5159

Well it appears that Curtis has discontinued all support for this camera. You might be able to obtain a USB connector that fits the camera online. Most use the standard/micro USB connector. As far as drivers if Curtis does not have it on their site then they might be tough to find. If you are using Vista the it might recoqnize the camera and install drivers automatically. If the camera has removable memory card you could remove the card after taking the pictures and put in the SD port of the computer and transfer the pictures onto it.

I want to download my pictures from my sony cybershot w-80, but I need the software, Where do I get it? My daughter said I can get it free online.

If your Pc running Windows XP or Vista then no need of any software and DSC-W80 camera can be plugged in USB port as plug-n-play.
You will see camera memory as "Removable Disk" in My Computer and can access in picture folders by clicking them.

There is more then likely some sort of software missing from your computer that tells it that your camera is being hooked up through a usb cord. Try reinstalling the software
