appreciated the support of the email address and website. thought about your comment that just replacing the part would probably not be the answer. figured it then must be the wiring from the control. checked along the wiring and found a section that was covered with black electirical tape. with the lights flickering, as i manipulated the wire, the connection was suddenly ok. didn't last, so decided to remove the tape. underneath was an actual connection, and it had become loose. i connected them firmly, and has worked perfectly ever since. the response you gave was exactly what i needed to solve the problem... thanks so much! Check the remote battery connection, it could be only a malfunction on that area. it is better to check it first before you replace of something.

I dont think just replacing the controls will help. Best send an email to Quickie support: information@quickie-wheelchairs.com

Or if you are confident of repairing this yourself, you can get parts direct from the website:

Mike you probably have a bad speed control pot. There is a broken wire after the center tap in the pot causing it to shut down. That shouldn't be hard if Quickie can get you the part. You could always chech at a local electronics store for a pot but it would have to be like the one on your chair Hope this helps

Lights on control panel are blinking chair will not move

The number of lights that are blinking indicate what the problem is. Visit this site to locate the type on controller on your power chair and you will be able to see that the blinking lights mean:

Try to reset your manual brake release as this is a common problem.
If you continue to have a problem, contact your manufacturer or dealer for service. If your insurance purchased they power chair for you, they may also cover the cost of repairs.
Good luck!

I think you have locked your controller, or put it in "sleep mode". Turn on the chair again and push the joystick forward, then to reverse, then forward again and release. It should fire up. Let us know if that worked.

When you turn the chair on the light just binks

If it is just one red light blinking, then your batteries are below the level necessary to power the chair. Charge and see if they come back up, or replace if they won't.
