Panasonic SC-HT900 Audio problems

My panasonic system SC HT900 with a powered W350 subwoofer will work( Put out sound) for about five minutes after i turn it on then the audio will quit, all displays and functions on the front panel will work. I am an electronics tech by trade and i have looked at the power amplifier module located in the subwoofer. The unit uses a RSN311W64 6 ch audio ic. I dont have a data sheet on the ic or the system. i have also noticed that during the five minutes it works the fan will come on for a few seconds every thirty seconds. The only way to get the audio to come back on is to unplug the power cord for about an hour and then plug the cord back in and turn the unit on. yesterday the audio will not turn on any more

Hi I have a panasonic theatre surround system model number SA-HT900 but I need a remote for the unit but can't find one anywhere . There is another model a panasonic SC-HT900 will the remote for this...

The remote for the SC-HT900 will work with the SA-HT900. The SA-HT900 refers to the model number of the amplifier of the home theater system but the model number for the whole home theater system including the speakers is SC-HT900.

I have the Panasonnic SC-HT900/SC-HT700 and wondering if it can fully used and connected through my PC?

Well, that would depend on the audio capabilites of your PC.

Once you figure out the software controls of the PC audio you can treat the PC like any standard audio device for input or output if the compatible physical connections are there.

Intermittent sound with Panasonic SC-HT900 home theater system

I will get back with you on this tommorow with more information when I can get the technical data I need from where I work.
These units are know for the problem you are describing.

If you have to connect all of your speakers to the subwoofer, then yes, you can replace the subwoofer and it will fix your problem. I just don't remember right now if this unit is the one with the amplifier built into the sub woofer, but I think it is.

Since you paid another repair center you really should take it back to them to fix it right. They probably did not test it long enough to verify if they fixed your problem.

I know it is a real pain to have to take it back, more so if it is far away, but the problem you are having is nothing you will be able to fix yourself unless you have some decent electronic troubleshooting and soldering skills.

Get back with you soon,
