Question about Kenwood KDC-138 FM / AM Receiver
What exactly is Standby mode used for? How does this differ from turning the stereo off? Why would I want to use Standby instead of powering it off entirely?
Standby mode does not completely power down the unit it jsut does not draw as much power as when the unit is on. Also, depending on the unit, it might start back up faster in standby then from power off. You can select to have certain things displayed while in standby mode. Here is what can be selected for this unit:
Standby: displays CD loaded indicator, "STBY" indicator, and clock (when selected)
Hope this was helpful.
