Marantz SR-66 Shut down!

Sounds like the protection circuit is tripping. With power off, check for loose speaker connections. Also, look very closely for shorts in the speaker wires. Even a single loose strand can touch another connection and create a short, which shuts down the receiver.

I would take take the frequency splitter out of the circuit and see what happens. Check for acceptable impedances in the manual. The receiver may not like the load the splitter presents.

The receiver may have settings for bi-amping. Then you use one set of terminals on the back for treble, and a different set for bass.

How do I connect monitor speakers to my Behringer UB2442FX Pro?

In any 'connection' question there are at least two participants and specific answers require specific details. WHAT monitors?

The manual for the known part of this scenario is here.

http://www.retrevo.com/support/Behringer-UB2442FX-Pro-manual/id/23281bh544/t/2/

Since it's not an amplifier you will need one before you can consider connecting speakers.

You should follow the manuals for the unknown parts, too.

..my pmp 2000 power shut

Do you mean "Behringer" PMP2000?

If so, register and download the manual for free at retrevo.com

http://www.retrevo.com/support/Behringer-PMP2000-manual/id/23281ag523/t/2/

As always, you should refer to the manual FIRST before coming here. That is where WE will usually start. But this one offers NO troubleshooting guidance or you could be talking about a whole different product so...

Generally speaking, an amp attempts to protect itself from heat, shorts, overloads and operator exuberance by refusing to turn on or stay on.

Overloads can be from excessive periods of high output or marginally low impedance loading by the speakers; and shorts would be wiring issues or a speaker blowing up.

You should be able to feel if it's hot. WHY is it overheating? Make sure it has sufficient ventilation on all sides and that vent holes are not blocked by dust balls. Ensure the fan (if equipped) is running as designed (some only operate on demand). Clean dust and debris from it.

If the amp comes back on after cooling, you're lucky. They only have so many self-protection cycles in their lives so continuously resetting or cycling their power without addressing the cause can do more harm than good.

If it protects immediately on a cool power up you should disconnect the speaker connections and try it 'naked'. If it comes up then diagnose which lead(s) are shorted. If it does not come up the problem is internal and should be left to an experienced and competent hands-on tech.

Check for loose speaker connections at the speaker as a possible root cause for intermittent shutdown.

Hey, I have a pair of CPL46 speakers, im looking at getting a behringer PMP6000 powered mixer to run them, just checking if this is a good idea, thanks

You can find the spec sheet for the speakers here. The Behringer is rated 600 watts RMS at 4 ohms, right at the high end of the recommended level for the speakers. So it looks like a good match.

Behringer Truth B2031A powered monitor speaker - radio interference in left speaker

A well know problem to the Behringer Truth B2031A speakers is radio interference and noise. I had the same problem with mine and found a solution on a forum!

If you open the speakers, you'll see a cable from the main board that runs to the 2 lights at the front (on/limit LED's). It functions as an antenna... Disconnect it and your speakers are silent, finally. (OK no leds, but I can live with that).

Hi My denon avr 2600 keeps clips when turn on

Check the polarity (+/-) of the speaker wires. A typical receiver will try to cut the power to the speaker if it's feeding it too much power or too little power to preserve the speaker and/or receiver. That may be the clipping you're hearing. If the wires are reversed, this can cause the same thing.

Behringer eurodesk mx9000 Power supply problems

After a little research I discovered that Behringer has had problems in the past with there power supplys so I replaced the faulty one and so far the problem has been solved. Our local power company has been sending to much power to our church building and that is what caused to old power supply to burn out. We are still trying to get them to take care of their issues.
