I have discovered this morning the following problem. In making a call I cannot listen the usual ring tone of the phone call, and I cannot listen the other party talking.
I can listen only if I tap on the speakarphone.
What I have to do ????

Re: Making a phone call
It sounds like you have a defective speaker.. bring it back to the location of sale for an exchange. The only other simple solution i can think of is your volume is really low.. but i doubt you missed that.
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US. click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need. Goodluck!

This trick is very easy but we could not discover. Here follow the instruction step by step First power on the phone, press menu and select setting in sub-menus. Then press "RESTORE FACTORY" reset it by entering 12345 (default code) or the code you have already modified!!!!!!!! ha....ha.........Before restore factory you have seen that there was no tone displayed in ring tone setting sub-menu besides when you try to set the ring-tone suddenly the phone shut down and automatically power on itself.....No tension no upset entertain the lovely NOKIA tone.........
The main reason for this problem is because of the ear piece. The ear piece is something you keep close to your ears while making calls. The speaker is an alternate way to listen music or to listen the caller loud or for ring tone.
Check your ear piece. Either it would have damaged due to water or would have lost the connection to the circuitry.
To turn on a ringtone and vibration, go to your BlackBerry's sounds and ring tone options by either of the following ways:
1. Use the trackball to go to the sound icon in the upper left corner of the main screen and click on it, then toward the bottom of the list that appears, select Set Ring Tones/Alerts, then select Phone.
2. In the Home folder, go to your Options folder (usually toward the bottom, has a wrench icon) and select Sounds and Ring Tones.
Select the ring tone and volume that you want, and for Play Sound select Always. Scroll down to Vibration and set it for On.
There is an option for Vibrate with Ring Tone -- set that to on in order to make your phone both ring and vibrate at the same time, then save the settings when you cancel out, and you're all set.
usually this is done one of two ways if the phone has a menu button press it once then use the arrow keys until you see "ring" or "ring tone" in the display then use the arrow keys again and you should hear different ring tones. when you find the one you like press the menu button to lock it in
if the phone has a program button and no menu button keep pressing the program button until you see "ring tone" in the display.then use the arrow keys until you hear the ring tone you like. then press the program button several times until you exit the programming mode.
you can follow the above steps to set the ringer volume also
Try the following instructions, to personalize your Nokia E50! Profiles Warning: In the offline profile you cannot make or receive any calls, or use other features that require network coverage. Calls still may be possible to the official emergency number programmed into your device. To make calls, you must first activate the phone function by changing profiles. If the device has been locked, enter the lock code.
Select Menu > Tools > Profiles. You can adjust and customize the ringing tones, alert tones, and other device tones for different events, environments, or caller groups. To customize a profile, scroll to the desired profile in the list, and select Options > Personalise. Define the following settings: • Ringing tone — Select a ringing tone from the list, or select Tone downloads to open a bookmark folder containing a list of bookmarks for downloading tones using the browser. To listen to the selected tone, select Play. If you have two alternate phone lines in use, you can specify a ringing tone for each line. • Say caller's name — Activate the text-to-speech ringing tone feature. When someone from your contacts list calls you, the device sounds a ringing tone that is a combination of the spoken name of the contact and the selected ringing tone. • Ringing type — Select how you want the ringing tone to alert. • Ringing volume — Select the volume level of the ringing tone. • Message alert tone — Select a tone for received text messages.
