RE: Sony Cyber-shot DSC-F717 5.0 Megapixel Good Morning, I sure hope you can help. I'm getting a blinking Error code E:61:10. I tried the "reset" button a few times but no change. Might you know what this code means? Look forward to hearing from you. Thanks you, Bella

Hi Bella

That code means that the lens unit was unable to move from home position to switch on position.

These lens are extremely complex and I doubt if you could find someone able to repair the lens.

Therefore I suggest contacting Sony to find a accredited dealer to quote you on replacement of the lens.

My guess is it will cost half of what you originally paid for the camera.

Good luck.

C:32:01 system error= can use my cyber shot sony camera 12,1 megapixel

"C:32:01 System Error" means, there's something wrong with the memory. Attach it to your computer and format the the card as 'FAT'. Formatting as 'FAT32' or 'NTFS' will produce this error.

Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-F828 Digital Camera won't flash

Make sure Flash Shoe option is Off in setup menu then check flash light.
Does camera give any blinking error code when flash fails to fire?
Does flash pop up when you press shutter button to take picture in low light?
Let me know to find out possible cause of problem.

Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-S30 memory stick

Without being accusatory, it is likely that something bad happened to the camera (a drop, and accidental liquid spill, etc.). But the bottom line is that it sounds like you did all the proper things, and I'm sure you tried a full charge of the camera's battery. The good news is that a quick check of Amazon shows this camera to be fairly easy and cheap to replace at this point. Its listed as a 1.2 Megapixel camera which by today's standards is low enough in resolution, that you probably can replace it for about $20. Sony may be willing to service it, but I'll bet replacing it will be cheaper. Sorry to be a bearer of less than good news.
