I have this error code: PCL XL error

Warning: IllegalMediaSource

SOURCE: printer wont do anything ricoh aficio 1515 pcl 6

The first thing to try is to turn the machine off, then back on at the red "main power" switch located on the left side of the machine. If the code returns it is indicative of firmware problems or a loose connection.

At this point I would seriously recommend getting a service tech to come out. However, if you want, you can take off the back cover (MAKE SURE THE POWER CORD IS UNPLUGED) and double check all of the connections by (GENTLY) pressing them into their connections. Hope this helps. Let me know.

SOURCE: pcl xl error warning: Illegal media source

Some people have issues with the PCL6 driver this causes pcl xl error like this to print. Change your driver from the PCL6 driver to the PCL5 driver. If you don't have the software you can down load it from HP at: http://welcome.hp.com/country/us/en/support.html

Thanks...V

SOURCE: PCL XL error when i give command to the printer

I already answered this, but the response did not get posted.

The short answer is that the PCL XL interpreter has picked up the use of the "Escape Code" (0x1B) in the incoming datastream. This command is used for the standard versions of PCL, most notable PCL 5e. It is not used in the PCL XL datastream.

volume is calculated by finding the area multiplied by the length or height . That is Pi X radius squared X length

example --tube 6"dia 12"long what is the volume?

Example 3.1417 X radius 3" Squared =3.1417X9sq " = 28.2740sq" X length 12" =338.688 cubic"

If you want the volume of an engine cylinder , it is the same formula and the length is the stroke of the piston ( distance from TDC to BDC )

Journey time 2hrs = 2 x 60 mins = 2 x 60 x 60 seconds

Distance 180 km = 180,000 m

Average speed = 3 x 6 x 10000 / 2 x 6 x 6 x 100 m/s

= 6 x 6 x 100 x 100 / [2 x (2 x 6 x6 x100)] m/s

= 100 / 4 m/s

= 25 m/s

Circumference of a Circle: 2 x pi x radius - OR - pi x diameter,

or if you need some sphere calculations?

Sphere Surface Area: 4 X pi X radius squared OR

pi X diameter squared Sphere Volume: 4/3 X pi X radius cubed OR

( pi X diameter cubed ) / 6

By the way.......... "pi" = 3.1415926536

Bot are numbers that are written in two different representations. To compare them safely you must convert them to the same representation.

0.08=8/100 or 8%

Now compare 8 % and 6%

Another way to do it is to convert 6% to its decimal representation then compare it to 0.08

6%=6/100=0.06

Since we have fractions let us just compare them. When comparing fractions, we first convert them to the same denominator (here it is 100). The greater one is the one with the greater numerator: 8 is greater than 6.

**Conclusion: No, 0.08 is not less than 6%**

0, 1, 3, 6, 10, and 15. If you don't consider 0 to a triangular number then the next one is 21.

How does the bulb look? Is it bright or kind of dim. The bulb warming error is designed to halt use of the machine until the scanner bulb reaches the correct output level. As these are basically a flourescent tube, they will dim over time and at a certain point they will not generate enough light to enable proper scanning. If the bulb is dim, it will require replacement.

Using the 1515 as a fax machine is a pretty simple procedure if everything works right. All you have to do is hook a working phone line up to the phone jack on the back of the copier (the one labeled LINE, not TEL).

Why won't the fax work? If it is giving you an error message, what is the message?

If you are not getting a dial tone when faxing, unplug the fax from the phone line and plug a working phone in, and see if the phone gets a dial tone. If it doesn't, there is a problem with your phone line.

You can also try plugging the fax machine into another phone line. If the fax works on that line, then there may be a problem with the first line.

Are you having problems sending faxes or receiving them, or both?
