Re: my display does not work

There is a Sony service advisory on defective CCDs - it should be repaired free of charge. Even though the T1 is not listed on the following website, check with Sony. Go here for more:

When i look through the view to take a photo it looks like it is running down the scene as it is melting, the colour is weird also. When I view the photo it is all different colours eg. pink, blue, purple,...

Hi you have either ccd unit (image sensor) or main circuit defective. Also circuitry connector loosen is possible. your local repair shop would charge $35 to 85 depend on what they really want to charge. Thanks and best regard!

No display on lcd no picture

The shutter is jammed closed. This blocks the light from reaching the image sensor. This problem can generally be fixed without parts, price will be $100-150 for labor from a professional. Depending on the purchase price of the camera, you may be better off getting a new camera.

Hi, I have a Canon IXUS 95IS camera.. For some reason, when I attempt to take a photo, the LCD screen isn't displaying what is actually in view? In movie mode it comes up on the screen but when i flick it...

Ah yes! you have pressed the display button. Turn the camera on and you see the icons in the display, look for the Disp button and press it, the display will cycle through its modes icons, black, image and icons.

Vertical lines and distorted colour on display screen

Just as I got on line to this site I saw your problem being typed in and it's the exact same issue I am having with my Finepix 5000. I've owned it for all of 4 plus years with no problems and really decent photos. I'm getting a blurred image with green/magenta colors when I look through the viewfinder. When I take a photo, it shows the same. It wasn't dropped or even barely touched between the last good photo taken and this. Attached is an example of above description. I would appreciate any advise. See below.7ccd05c.jpg

Weird colors in viewfinder

Sounds to me like a CCD problem, which is a bad thing. CCD faults were quite common in the early S2's. It would be worth contacting Fuji about.

can you insert a few images into the thread to have a look at. Need more than one to check consistency of problem.

LCD screen shows weird colours

I got the same problem - When I take the picture and look at it later on the screen of the camera it's fine but when I upload it on my computer I get these really weird lines of different exposure. It's a laptop running on vista which is a new machine and never had the problem on my old computer.

Black screen

I think I'm having the same problem, but I'm a little confused by your message, so I'm not sure. "In the beginning...reddish, end...stripes....images...OK." Seems contradictory. I'm having the display problem, too, but my image files are like what I see on the display, so I think I have the CCD issue that Sony describes at They give instructions for obtaining a free (postage-paid!) fix. But if your images are okay, it sounds like you have a display-only problem that might not qualify. Anyway, check it out, and good luck.
