Hi. My printer has no power. My phone goes through the fax and now the phone don't work. I had to disconnect the phone for it to work. I bought the printer in April but can't find my till slip and the company I bought it from can't sent it in to be repaired under the warranty without it. I do have the box with the sticker with the date of arrival at the company on it. Can somebody please help me.

Clear NV RAM..... Unplug the Power Supply from the Printer.... Press and Hold the #5 button on the Printer and plug in the Power Supply....... Don Release the #5 button till the Printer turns on completely.... After releasing the #5 button........ Press the Menu button once Keep on Pressing the Right Navigation Key till u find an option saying Maintanence goto maintanenece and go to manufacturing and click on clear NV RAM..... Now as soon as the Printer is Restarted....... U will be able to send and recieve faxes.....
You don't have to manually set the printer to receive faxes. Your printer will automatically receive a fax when it recognizes a fax tone/signal/transmission. Just as long as the fax settings are correctly configured and the printer is connected to a working phone/fax line.
Disconnect the power cord from back of the printer ( while printer is power on ) While holding the # and 6 key connect the cord back ( This step will erase all the fax logs and settings you have set on the printer )
Also Press the Setup button and Scroll to FAX SETTINGS ( or ADVANCED FAX SETTINGS ) Check for ECM ( Error correction mode ) - Press OK Turn it OFF
Finally if the issue is still not resolved, Disconnect the Phone cord from Printer port and re-connect Check for any other loose connections ( of phone socket ) within the house. ( disconnect and reconnect )

Getting your fax capability back requires a troubleshooting process that moves through the possible causes of a problem and arrives at a solution. Follow these steps to troubleshoot the fax machine on an all-in-one printer.
Plug the power cords in, push the power buttons on and get everything up and running. Sounds simple, but lack of power is the culprit quite often.
Step 2.Check for a phone connection in the correct input jack. Some printers with fax capability have more than one phone jack so you can hook up an answering machine or another phone "downstream" from the printer. Consult your instruction manual to determine the right connection for your printer.
Step 3.Swap out the all-in-one printer for a working phone to find out if the problem is in the phone line coming from the wall. Once you hook up the phone, you should get a dial tone if the line is working. Remember to reconnect the all-in-one printer after you're done.
Try to Run Fax Test Press the Setup button on front panel Scroll to Tools - Press OK Choose Run Fax Test - Press OK It should print the Fax Test Report.. it will list you the possible cause why you are getting Fax Failure..
If it says Hardware Test Failed..do a Reset on the Printer ( Hard Reset )
this will printer reset the settings to Factory default like your rings to answer will change to default, Speed Dial list will be wiped off
Steps to do : Disconnect the Phone cord from EXT 1 of printer
while the printer is on, Disconnect the power cord from back of printer. While holding the # and 6 Buttons, connect the cord back and release the buttons after 5-6 seconds..
go thru the alignment process and re-align the printer Connect the Phone cord back and try to Run the Fax Test and check if everything passes in the list.
Hi, If your issue is somewhat like this: When receiving a fax the line disconnects. No faxes or calls can be made until the fax being received is cancelled. Then, Try the following procedure:
Ensure that you have a two contact phone cable connected to line 1
socket of the printer and that the other end of the cable is connected
to the phone jack in the wall.
a partial reset on the printer. To do this first remove the power
supply from the back of the printer. With the power off press and hold
the # and 3 keys.
Plug the power back into the printer, keep holding the # and 3 keys till you see “
” displayed on the printer screen.
