Question about Keurig B50 Coffee Maker

3 Answers

Keurig B60 cycles through the menu incessantly!

We have had the machine for about 3 months. At first it worked fine.
Now, when you open the handle to put in a coffee pod, and you close it, the menu starts cycling through all the options, all by itself. It is impossible to make it stop. Occasionally it will stop by itself and go back to Machine Ready. The machine will then work fine and make coffee normally.
When it keeps on cycling, if you are quick enough to press the cup button while the menu blinks on Machine Ready, the machine will work fine.
I have tried unplugging the machine, but the problem does not go away.
It will go away randomly and work fine for some time (a day, a few hours, no rhyme or reason) then go back to going crazy.
It will start doing it whether the machine has just been turned on or whether it has been on for a while. There does not seem to be a pattern.

I would have no idea where to find a service center to bring the machine to...

  • beetreaux Oct 29, 2008

Yes, although there do not seem to be any repair centers near here that do Keurigs. I will contact Keurig directly.

  • beetreaux Oct 30, 2008

I contacted Keurig directly and they are replacing the machine at no charge. They are only asking that I return a part of the old machine to disable it, and then I can throw the old machine away.
I was extremely impressed by their customer service.

If you want to find a repair service, theres a finder on the right of this page ---->>>
since you have had the machine for only 3 months I beleave its still covered by warranty and you should contact your dealer instead of taking it to 3rd party repair service

It sounds like a problem with the machine control assembly, in that case the part should be replaced.

If the machine does not cycle regularly, and shows erratical behaviour, like described, this can be due to a problem with the electronic small board that controls the cycle, and that should be replaced.

If the machine had for example a clogged hose, and that the machine is just starting in this weird way, because it is taking its time in genating enough pressure to go through the hose and brew.

In rare occasion also water inside the machine can cause a short between wirings and cause this kind of erratical behaviour.

There is a phone number listed on the user manual, if you ring it you will get in touch with customer support.

Here is Brewer Maintenance & Cleaning, perform the whole procedure before contacting support, just in case.

Here is the phone number in US: 1-866-901-BREW (2739) , if you contact them, they may even offer you a replacement, being the machine only three months.

If you do not want to call them you can use the online contact.

Alternatively give us your location, and we can give you a contact.

You should rate the most useful comments, you stated that there is no service centre, then accepted the solution from the expert that suggested calling a service centre, is this a system malfunction or your final decision?

    Thanks

That is exactly what I told you. By accepting his solution you are rewarding instead the guy that suggested to go to a local repair centre.

Please read the thread here and accept the appropriate solution. :

    http://www.fixya.com/support/t1184008-ke...

We experts work as separate entities, and is rewarded only the expert that get the solution accepted, the one that get the blue flags.

Please let me know if you are not able to chose the solution of your choice.

    Many thanks.

Keurig B60 will not turn on anymore. Was working for months with no problems.

Hi,

The problem is often that the machine develops a leak in the hose that is rightover the transformer...the water drips onto the transformer and kills that...then you have no power to run the machine.

My Keurig B60 will not brew. The "ready to brew"

Having same problem with B60 turns off after 1 minute and little circle won't go away. After unit was stored for 5 months, So this is what I did. 1. I took it over to the sink and turned it upside down and shook it. 2. I dried out the whole where the water sucks up and blew through there with a straw. 3. then I sucked water out the rubber tube up top for the over flow. Then I put vinegar in the intake whole and put vinegar in the tank and let it sit overnight. When I got up in the morning i turned it on and after 1 min it shut off again so I restarted it and after a couple minuets it started to heat and my display came back and circle disappeared. Problem solved. Not sure which one worked but it is now working fine and I am now descaling it.

My keurig worked fine this morning. Now it's blinking "Not Ready" - none of the buttons work, unplugging it didn't make a difference, the menu button doesn't work either. Any ideas?
