Question about Compaq Presario 700 470024-192 Notebook
I've a Compaq C770TU laptop with Windows XP professional
installed...The problem is whenever I insert a external speaker system
or even a headphone into the jack, audio output is derived both from
the external speakers/headphones and the laptop speakers...Another
friend of mine has got the same model and he's facing the same
problem...Hence, I suspect that problem lies with the drivers(or the
lack of it)...Please someone suggest the right set of drivers which I
can install and have this problem fixed...
It must be a hardware problem it can't be the driver which is software. If I were u i would have had a look inside the pc at the jack or ask toshiba for a repair/replace if in warranty but i think it's more likely the jack ur intrested in.Try putting a drop of water when inserting the jack(don't be affraid nothing can happen) and rotate it a bit and see if it comes only in the external device. This worked for me I hope it did for u.
