Image Backup problem

I have an HP a1630n. I'm trying to use a hard drive caddy with win pe and Symantec Ghost 11.0 to perform an image backup. I've succeeded backing up my other 11 computers with this same setup. This computer gives the following error message -
Question 1854-
A source volume could not be locked as it is in use by another process. Do you wish to force a dismount on the volume?

If you answer yes or not it gives you a 640 error message. I'm very computer literate and am assisted by a friend that does this same thing for IBM and neither of us can find a solution. Any ideas?

How do I delete photos in the gallery on Samsung Galaxy tab 4?

To delete a single image, summon the image on the screen and touch the Trash icon that appears in the upper-right corner. Choose the Confirm Delete command. The image is gone.
Deleting a video isn't as easy as removing an image: You have to long-press the video thumbnail in an album. The long-press activates multiple-selection mode. For removing a video, however, just touch the Trash icon that appears in the upper-right corner of the screen. Choose the Confirm Delete command, and the video is gone.
You can't undelete an image or a video you've deleted. There's no way to recover such an image using available tools on the Galaxy Tab.
You can apply the Delete command to an entire swath of items in the gallery at once. To do so, you must know the secret, found below:
  1. Open the album (pile) you want to mess with.
  2. Long-press an image to select it. Instantly, you activate image-selection mode.

  1. Continue touching images and videos to select them.Or you can choose the Select All command.
  2. Perform an action on the group of images or videos.
To deselect items, touch them again. To deselect everything, touch the Done command.
The type of commands you can use on a group of items in an album depends on the group. Some commands, such as Delete and Share, can be performed on any old group. Other commands, such as the image rotation commands, work only with pictures, not with videos.

Restore win 7 from system image on toshiba portage m200

This should apply to other brands and models...
the original problem: bad hard disk, need to restore from win 7 image disks however The portage m200 lacks an optical drive and cannot be booted from usb (only options are to boot from LAN or from a specially created SD card).

Solution:
you will need a second pc that can boot from an on board or peripheral optical drive. Swap the second pc's hard drive for the one that you are restoring. Now boot the second pc from the restore disk and follow the onscreen instructions. Once completed the pc will try to reboot and you will get an error about how windows couldn't repair start-up. Now power down and swap the hard drive back to the portage. You should now be up and running, much easier than trying to create a boot-able sd image or boot from a PXE server.

Reset rca tablet

You can perform a hard reset on your tablet 2 ways. The first is by going into Settings>backup and reset and choosing the Factory Data Reset option.
If you are stuck at the startup screen or a password/pattern screen and cannot boot into the system, you will need to use method 2, which is booting into recovery mode. Have the tablet powered off first and make sure you have more than 50% charge on the battery. Boot into recovery mode by pressing and holding the volume up and power buttons. At the RCA logo screen, let go of the volume up button and you should next see an android image. Press and hold the power button and tap the volume up button once more and you will be brought to the recovery mode menu. From here, you will need to use your volume up and down buttons to scroll and navigate to the wipe data/factory reset option and use the power button to confirm. When the process is done, go ahead and reboot and your tablet will be set to factory original settings.

Toshiba tablet R15-S829 has only c drive .can i do partition in this hard drive. is it accptable for this laptop or not.please help

I think the problem is only that your system crashed. So you can try some data recovery software to recover the wanted data from system partition and then reinstall OS,
I suggest you can use a free data backup software to create a recover disc once you enconter such a problem you can recover your data and system easily.

How do I install a new HDD and still keep the IBM_SERVICE partition for restoring to factory installation?

If you're replacing the hard drive and want to keep the service partition information, you'll need to clone the disk. You can do this with another computer and a software tool like Norton Ghost, an old copy of Drive Image, Acronis, or some other disk imaging tool. THese tools will allow you to copy the service partition (along with any other partitions) from one drive to another. It's a little more complex than a straight file copy from one drive to another, but it's possible.

Recovery Problems

The Tablets can be quite difficult to perform a reimage or recovery on as most bios versions on them do not recognise a USB device as bootable.

My recommendation would be to obtain a Bootable Floppy disk that contains an imaging program. (GHOST. Powerquest etc).

From here you may have 2 options available to you.
1. Attempt to recover using the hidden partition on your hard drive.

2. Recover from an image located via the network. You will need to ensure that a driver for your network card is also bundled into this install. Once this boothdisk has been created you will need to create a "shared folder" on another PC which contains the image you require. Once the bootdisk has loaded point yourself to the shared folder.

Lastly - You may be able to find an updated bios version that allows boot from USB device.

TC1100 onscreen keyboard.

Use a USB keyboard and do a system restore.
Use a USB keyboard to access HP.com and search for a download there.
Use a USB keyboard to backup, reformat, reinstall factory image.Takes longer, but probably best overall fix, HDD may have a few bad sectors and format will fix or avoid them. May be a great time for a 7200 RPM drive and some more RAM! 2Gb RAM and a high speed drive will breathe a bunch of life into a great tablet like the tc1100.
