You may need to re-register the comctl32.dll.
Try this:
(press Win Key + R key) and enter:
regsvr32 /n /i comctl32.dll
Click OK

It could be one of the Internet Explorer Add-ons is causing a problem or it is conflicting with another add-on.
Start Internet Explorer withour add-ons:
Click Start, then click Run and in the Run box type in iexplore.exe -extoff
Internet Explorer should open up without a home page and on the screen will tell you it is working without add-ons. Try and browse some of your websites.
Does this error happen when you try this? If it doesn't, go to Control Panel > Internet Options, click the Programs Tab at the top then click the Manage Add-ons button. Go through the list of add-ons that are currently installed and disable the ones you recognize like Google or Yahoo toolbars, etc. Don't disable any of them that you know the publisher for, like Microsoft or Java (Sun Microsystems)
If the error still occurs, the Internet Explorer 7 you have may have an error. You can back up your favourites list, the go to http://support.microsoft.com and download and re-install IE7 or download and install the new IE8.
Also, if it occurs on a specific website like Facebook, update some of your website add-ons. Go to http://www.java.com or http://www.adobe.com and install the latest Java and Flash Player.

Hi,
I have recently started having a problem with a BEX iexplore.exe 8.0.7137.0 template appearing regularly on my screen. I recently downloaded IE10 as a possible cure, to no avail, as I still get the BEX template, so I reverted back to IE9 (Are their enough benefits to upgrade to IE10, or too many negatives?)
I tried your suggestion above, but the - third party add-in for IE (HPIEAddOn.dll), you suggested, is not on the add - ons list, to disable.
I reset the IE browser to their default settings, on the Internet settings/Advanced tab, then rebooted the computer, I still get the BEX template.
Fortunately it doesn't actually cause any problems, I just delete it, it's just annoying!
I can't uninstall Yontoo, the tarmer installer says it can't uninstall because of a setup initialization error. Would this cause a problem?
Flash is the only add-on enabled, all toolbars are blocked.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks
Ian
