My iphone 4s went completely blank black screen and it is not dead or powered off. i can hear it if it rings and it vibrates aswell. what can harm this to happen? is it old age?it is 5 years old.

water will have an affect on it if it has not been dried out properly the screen controller chip that is on the logic board will get damaged, =, they are not waterproof, you will need another logic board to repair this fault., can also damage the battery and the screen being in water for any amount of time.

Help with mobile phone

If the cell phone battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out.Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles andwill lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% andgradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all. OR Thebattery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the batterydrops off to zero capacity in a very short time. If the battery drops to anunacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

Hi I m salman And i have 5200 mobile phone but there is one problem That's problem is keypaid problem i have already change keypaid i.c but that problem still remain i have cheked the board properly...

short battery life is contributed to these, 1. Old battery 2. Lots of apps running in the background 3. Taking lots of photos 4. Charging the phone when it does not need a full charge 5. Leaving your phone in direct heat or cold 6. Dropping the phone 7. Leaking battery 8. 1 year or more old battery 9. Continuously talking and charging at the same time 10. Ensure to contact your insurance to see if the battery is protected under your plan

I have a Verizon LG VX8300 phone that I would like to give to my grandson to replace his lost phone. His service is on T-Mobile. Can this be done (I can't even find the SIM card in the phone).

Lg VX8300 is a cdma phone that doesn't carry sim card. Your grandson will need to contact T-Mobile, provide them with the ESN # from the back of this phone. They will then switch the service to this phone. You will find ESN number behind the phone, starting with D or H or A (like hex or dec or Meid #)

key in *2767*3855# the phone should restart and return all codes to factory Default, this is a hard reset so you will lose all data on the fone (back to as new) so back it up first!!!!

Dropped in water

You may still have water in places not reached by the hair dryer. Open all the access doors, take out the SIM card, battery and put all parts in a ziplock bag. Get some dessicant bags (from old shoe boxes), cardboard pieces, saltine crackers and put them in the ziplock bag also and put on top of your microwave oven or in the window where it gets direct sunlight. These items will help draw out all the moisture better than the hair dryer. I have done this many times on cell phones, gameboys, etc. and it works everytime.

Sometimes you can save them by not turning it on and putting it in the hot water cuboard for couple of days, but if you have tried turning it on already... well sorry mate its got liquid damage and thats the worst thing you can do to a phone . Best advice replace it.
