Picture squeezed from all sides during turn-on/ warm up

Hope you can help before I roll it to the curb. It is a Philips 50" projection 1999 set. On start up the pic squezes in from all sides to about half the size. as it warms up it will start to pop to full screen and go back and forth for about 10-15 min. when it is small the colors are not correct and cannot see the pic. The sound is normal.Seems to be getting worse. Thanks for any advice you can give.

This sounds like bad solder conections on the convergence IC's or they are going bad.

see if there is a "default" option, if not set everything back to the middle, if the colors are still off you sure its not the convergence?
most big screens allow you to change "color temperature" it's like a default adjustment for 3 different brightness levels.... ie...COOL, WARM picture will show obvious changes in brightness

My philips 60" philips tv model 60pp9352 picture is squeezed at the middle (like an hour glass on its side), how can I fix?

This is a very common failure on Projection TV sets.
Screen looks 3D
Colors don't line up
One or more colors can't be adjusted when using the convergence menu.
Screen is bowed or warped.

Picture is Rolling..stops after some warm-up

I have seen this many times. There is a 9 volt regulator on the small signal board that causes this. The regulator goes bad and the 9 volts starts dropping, especially at start-up when the regulator is cold. If the voltage is below 8 volts then the picture gets dark and the vertical becomes unstable, with the picture squeezing down and/or rolling. As the regulator warms up the voltage starts rising back towards 9 volts and the symptoms start clearing up. There are 3 regulators in a row on the board and the regulator in the middle is always the bad one. Replacing that regulator should cure your problems but it should be replaced by someone experienced in servicing Mitsubishi projection TV's because pulling the chassis out is quite tricky.
