I've had a yahoo mail acct for 8 years, never a problem, until tonight that is, when yahoo mail doesn't respond to my login info, tried a different computer on a diff connection same problem. No error message just " Invalid ID or password. Please try again using your full Yahoo! ID." in red.
I can't retrieve or reset info since my 'alternate email address' has not even existed for 3 years or more. Did I just get hacked or what???
I think something to do with Yahoo servers. I had this problems many times in Australia and the problems usually went away the next morning . However this time it came back after a short time. I am thinking of switching emails . Maybe Gmail is best.
I have also had problems with my Yahoo mail. Today I got onto my daughters computer and pulled up my mail account and was able to access it. Now on my daughters computer there was a message on her yahoo tool bar that she needed to upgrade her tool bar. I did that before I did any thing else. When I could access my yahoo account on her computer I decided to reinstall the toolbar
on my computer. It worked!!! I have been unable to access my mail for 3 days, so may I suggest you try upgrading your toolbar and see what happens.

Try changing to a lower screen resolution size first. For some people, this works and forces Yahoo to ask you if you want to revert back to Mail Classic. This fix does not work for everyone though, but do try it.
If this doesn't work, go to the help pages and contact Yahoo through there. I've previously sent people instructions on how to contact Yahoo to restore Mail Classic, but I've found out recently that Yahoo is extremely slow in responding through that avenue, sometimes they don't even respond.
Yahoo requires written authorization to restore your Mail Classic, so when you do contact them, you need to tell them that you do want it restored.
They also want feedback, they want to know why you're wanting to change back so they can better improve the new version.
The new version is full of bugs, I've responded to hundreds of people wanting to change back.
Yahoo really doesn't want users to switch back, and that's why you've been told to contact them directly.
If I was the one to give you the instructions, then you simply didn't wait, as I said it does take time.
I got the instructions from Yahoo directly after emailing back and forth several times. I was tired of not being able to provide solutions to people here who were complaining about the new version.
It took them almost a week to respond to my first email through the Yahoo site, they are overloaded with these complaints and it does take time to respond to them.
I have already sent you the instructions, if you haven't emailed Yahoo and followed them, I suggest that you do. The sooner you do, the sooner you can have your account restored to Yahoo Mail Classic.

Try going to Yahoo's password helper site:
It should help you if you've forgotten your password, username / login or if your account was compromised.
Please leave feedback if this was helpful, thanks.
Try going to Yahoo's account recovery page:
It should help you with login issues if you've forgotten your username or password. It can also help you recover accounts that have been compromised or hacked.
If that doesn't help please describe the issue with more details and I'll try to assist further.
Please leave feedback if this was helpful, thanks!
