Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

What is the value of R617

In order to answer that, one would need to know the manufacturer's name and model number to the CRT you're trying to repair- in order to look up the schematic for that particular unit...and the printed circuit board number that the resistor 617 is positioned on...

Try an online search engine to locate the service/repair manual for your t.v, or go to a local t.v. / electronics repair shop; they'll be able to ID the resistor you'll need.

Hitiachi Convergence Circuit Resistor Values

This site has been very helpful in diagnosing and repairing my Hitachi 57XWX20B. I recently changed the IC's and a resistor to fixe a convergence problem and had to use the small button on the convergence circuit to get set to return from static mode and enter dynamic mode. I searched everywhere trying to locate the correct resistor values and noticed many other's needing the same information. Here are the results of my research. I obtained some from manuals and others from comparison of the different models. My main focus was finding the values for the 57XWX20B. The resistor values are given in ohms at 1 watt. This means RK42 is a 3.3 OHM 1 watt resistor. RK58 was the problem in my set. It was giving a value of 2.3 and needed to be 4.7. I first replaced the IC's and thought the resistors were all good, but I later noticed my convergence was off. I could manually align it but the magic focus initiation would not save. It gave an overflow error. I bought the sanyo brand of IC's, not the cheap inports and found that if you use a desoldering wick then the repair is easy. The new IC's restored the beautiful color the set had when new. Now it is brilliant as well as converged. My repair cost was:
STK-110 13.00 Bought from local electronic supplier
STK-150 15.00
RK58 3.00 Bought from a local TV repair shop

The elecronic supply store gave me 6 inches of desouldering wick
Total cost: 31.00 Dollars

Sanyo tv model ST21G1 chassis AC5G, will you please help me find the value of R617,power suppy section, thanks.

look for the colour code on the resistor and then look it up on a chart ,different values between a silver band and a gold band but the value is the same its just the % tollerance ,gold band is a lower tolerance

I have a resistor problem in sanyo ST-21G1

it's very difficult to give the exact value of that resistor.,but i can give some tips to find the value of the said resistor .( find how the resistor works, it is a dropping or fusable? if fusable used .47 or 1 ohm resistor if it is a dropping resistor you should make a trial and error .from 100k,10k or 1k.

Blue converge unable to adjust. what is stk? and where is it located?

STK refers to a Sanyo style Ic, in this case your Tv takes a STK393-110 at board location Ic8c00 Mits p/n# 267p155010.
If you don't buy from MDEA make sure to get Sanyo originals from a trusted distributor like ACME Enterprises in Florida. If you're going to attempt this youself you'll also need a good soldering station (like a wes50), a DMM, some heat sink compound and alot of patience.
Use the DMM to test the value of the low ohm resistors that feed those amps. In this case, blue being bad, my guess is you'll find R8c21 & R8c22 (3.9 ohm 1 watt) changed in value or nearly wide open. But check all the 3.9 ohm resistors in that circuit.
The STK393-110 is a multi-layer / multi-pin Ic on a large aluminum heat sink. You'll want to have the patience of Job to extract and insert the new one. Bend the pins too badly and it can make the task ten times more difficult.
Don't hold the solder tip on these too long and don't be in a big hurry to solder them all in one sitting. Solder and couple and give it a few seconds to dissipate heat...
Hope this helps!

Bush ws7680 tv pcb

Yes it can be replaced if you know the value in ohms and watts and you can use a soldering iron.
Resistors normally blow because of excessive current flow sometimes caused by downstream or upstream components that have shorted out or are being overloaded beyond what they are rated at.
Sometimes (but rarely) they just blow for no reason.
