SOURCE: Need factory code for keyless entry pad

To locate the original keypad code, open the passenger/rear door. Pull the on-body rubber weatherstrip out, around the rear side of the door closure. Fold the right/rear seatback down into the locked position to facilitate access to the right/rear seat belt anchor. Carefully pry the upper plastic panel that houses the height adjuster and seat belt anchor off the body taking care not to damage the panel. Now pry the lower panel outward just far enough to enable access to the Vehicle Security Module, where you'll see three electrical connectors plugged into it, coloured green, grey, and blue. On the module will be a series of digits on a label similar to 5L2T-15K602-EA. Beside those digits are five numbers. Those five numbers are the keyless entry keypad code.

Battery dead this morning...just got a couple of clicks. the light and radio work. got a jump and drove it for 40 min. wont start again

More then likely a bad cell in the battery, so it won't hold a charge, jump it and go to any auto parts, they will check the battery and alternator for free, I don't think it's the alternator, due to you drove it for 40 min with no trouble, if it was the alternator, the car would have turn off on you while driving it.Most of these auto parts will also install the battery for you for free.

Battery went dead, charged battery and still wont turn over

i had a 95 xj 6 with the same problem. At the fire wall on the right side is a bolt with a rubber cover on it. this cable goes behind the engine to the starter. That bolt at the fire wall my need to be replaced. find it it may be rusted or corroded. If it is, the current from the battery will stop at that bolt and not contunue on to the starter but lights and everything else will work. If when you turn the key you just hear a click or nothing. that part is 5 dollars at autozone.

My 2005 ford explorer check charging system warning light

if charging light is on w/ engine running, the fault could be the alternator or another component of the charging system.remove, clean and tighten battery post connections to check for alternator output, use a volt meter or multi-tester set to 50 Volts DC,w/ tester on battery terminals it should read 12 volts W/ engine off;13 to 14 volts w/engine running.if voltage increases when alternator is spinning, suspect battery

Key not opening driver's side door when battery is dead

Well your car is equiped with a electronic chip in the key and if the car has no power the key cannot "talk" to the main computer in the car.
