I got an BENQ FP731 monitor and when I boot it up , it shows my
computer type and stuff and the Windows XP screen but after like 3
seconds , it turns blank then says OUT OF RANGE. Is there anything I
can do to change it when it is starting up?

Re: BenQ Monitor ' Out Of Range '
Check your resolution settings and change to 800><600 and try again. If it does not work at 1024><768 try loading monitor driver In display properties it should show BenQ FP731 instead of plug and play monitor.

There's practically no radiation from LCD monitors, especially compared to older CRT monitors, which radiated several sorts of electromagnetic waves.
Is the picture on your monitor crisp, with good focus? If the letters and shapes are blurry, it may mean that you are using a different screen resolution than the native resolution of your LCD. If your monitor type is FP731, then it's native resolution is 1280x1024 and this is what should be set in the Display Properties under Settings tab (in Windows). If it's a different model, you can search for it's specs on the web to see what is it's native (a.k.a. optimum) resolution.

If it is still under warranty from Benq (3yrs), call them for a return. I have one (FP731) and did the same thing. There is an IC within the monitor that is bad. Pretty soon there will be nothing on the screen.
