Question about Avanti EWC28 Wine Cooler

Open Question

Not cooling sufficiently

And when i turn it to coolest setting, it just sounds so noisy. I guess these thermoelectric devices are just not made to chill drinks (get to near freezing temperatures).

Any ideas what can be done? I am an electircal engineer, anything on the market i can use to modify the wine cooler to be more efficient?

This cooler uses the Peltier effect = the current passing thru a very special resistance provides the cooling. Because of that there are effectively 2 separate electrical circuits inside your cooler:
1, the mains voltage that powers the Peltier element and the cooling fan - controlled by a relay
2. the low voltage that powers the control board and the display - this is the one that failed in your case.
To fix it you will have to open the front cover , access the board and test it: if it gets power then the board itself has failed; if it doesn't then its the power source and you will have to find out why it failed - probably it was damaged when another component failed and you will have to find out which one before putting a new source in.
It's a relatively complicated job that requires a good experience - if you don't have it then call an certified repairman.

Please how do I adjust d controls to get the coolest cooling effect from my portable Air condition?

Hi.
From the left to the right way the first under the first simbol(fan) is one low line and one high line. This means low line when the button is pushed down and the high line when the button is up. I guess to make yhe coolest cooling you should push down the first and the third button after take some gripping tools and the thermometer in the middle turn right as much as you can. After turn on whit the button on the right side. The second button if you push in then i think you get wet air. Just put your hand front of the fan and feel test it. Which type is it?

Coleman thermoelectric cooler not cooling

Sounds like the Peltier effect elements have failed.

Depending on your handyman skills, you can change them yourself or have someone troubleshoot and change them.

What is a thermoelectric wine cooling system?

Thermoelectric cooling is best used in small wine coolers. Small fans from inside the cooling fridge evenly dispense cool temperatures throughout the interior of the unit.

I have a thermoelectric wine cooler (heintzman DC2-40C) that no longer cools as it should....help....

Thermoelectric devices (or modules) require direct current (DC) for operation. Alternating current (AC), the form of electricity found in wall outlets, causes a thermoelectric device to alternate between heating and cooling, rendering it effectively useless. "Ripple" is the AC component of DC current and occurs when a power supply does not completely convert AC current to DC current.
You just might want to find out why the AC is not turning to the DC required, This could be a matter of chaning outlet plug or maybe the Ower pack that coverts the AC to DC.

My climate control starts blowing hot air while a/c is on

Make sure you have fully charged AC sytem first, if so Im sorry to tell you this but this is a difficult deal.you may not be able to correct this without taking it to a repair shop with gm scan tool. Reason being the actuators for the hvac that most likely are malfunctioning from either them or another component being bad , require recalibration. The other reason would be the body control module related. It would have to be scanned for U codes which can effect the hvac control.Sorry but thats what I know.

The 5640 Coleman cooler motor runs, but unit does not cool.

This is a thermoelectric (TE) cooler. There is no gas' to replace in it's cooling system. It is possible the thermoelectric coupler has gone bad. Unfortunately Coleman does not seem to offer a replacement part. If you Google thermoelectric couplers, maybe you can find something on the web. Good Luck.
