Problem for Sony KP-65XBR10W 65 in. Rear Projection Television

Sony trinitron kv35s26 (August 1997) no video, only audio

The picture on my Sony Trinitron (model KV35S26, August 1997) went out.

The audio works fine and the “stand by/timer” red light continuously blinks. When I turn the TV on, I don’t hear that “thump” noise that I usually hear.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. I wanted to troubleshoot the problem myself. Were can I find a troubleshooting manual to get started?

- Kv35s26. dead video, has audio. When cold, turn on video works for ~ 30 seconds, starts to have vertical shrinkage, then blank screen. toggle on-off - sometimes works, then completely no video. tried re-soldering - any suggestions ? Thanks, John- Guest

what another models fault is in the video, should help find you find problem

No video, Has High voltage. Turning up G2 show a very dim full raster and on the sides a very bluish faint bar .
Replace Vert. IC561 (TDA8172)
