How were you trying to clear the printhead? Depending on the printer, you may want to put a warm wet paper towel under the print nozzles and leave there for a while to loosen up any dried ink in the nozzzles.

The problem is waste ink around head sprayer (at (bottom plate of head). Turn of printer. Move head to center. Put wet tissue (with hot water) at head cleaning mechanic pad. Move head to parking position. wait till 10 minutes. check it. You can repeat 3 times.

Blank paper print in R230

try checking the pump assembly of the unit. if it is clogged, the printhead wont clean and theres a possiblility that you will not get a printout. also check the head cable to see if there are no cut traces.
