My D: drive has dissappeared

I have an acer aspire 5102WLMi. I brought it in to get a seperate problem "fixed" and ever since then the DVD drive doesn't work. I don't mean I can't get it to load. I can't find the drive at all! If I go to my computer, the drive isn't even an option, just the C: drive. The thing is still here, I can see it. It opens, it makes a short buzzing sound, and that's it. Is there something I can do before I send it in to get more broken?

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Does Acer 5102WLMi support booting up from usb?

Yes all modern PC's will support booting from removable media, such as a Flash Drive. As long as it's formatted to boot, it will. I have included a helpful link. http://www.bootdisk.com/pendrive.htm

Have an acer aspire one netbook and want to connect my hp printer, how do I do this as there's nowhere to put disc. Do I need a seperate dvd/rw?

you can either use and external DVD/cd-ROM drive, or if you have access to another PC....you can copy the contents of your disc to a USB flash drive in order to install it on your Aspire one.

Non working scroll control on acer aspire 5102 wmli

How long have you owned the notebook? This sounds hardware related. If so then the touch pad would have to be replaced.
Thanks,
