I put the usb drive into the usb port on my PC and when I click on the U3 Icon in "my Computer" it says "in order to run the U3 Launchpad the U3 smart drive will be momentarily disconnected from your PC and then connected again. It's recommended that you save and close any files open from the U3 smart drive." Then it opens a file folder named "Application Data\U3\0000162152711808". It used to open the login screen for the drive.

If you have an answer please e-mail me at Thank you so much.

OK you have to understand what I'm saying here. The problem is that the password prompt does not show up. Instead it opens an empty folder from within the USB drive. It has to be something with my computer because it works fine on other computers.

If you are using Sandisk USB Drives, it may be that partition is password protected. If you can run the U3 Launchpad, it should prompt you for a password for you to access your "Drive F". Put in your password, and Drive F should be accessible.

Problem in opening pen drive

You can try plugging it in the back of the computer... Or just try to format the disk, if the data on it isn't of huge importance! It's much easier to do that
